God, Im in such a strong debate between this budget brushless conversion or a nice 4-stroke .70 conversion which would be more suitable for winter purposes. Plus I wont have to worry about running in snow and hitting puddles like I would with electric. I just dont know what Ill be doing yet...

I want to know how the KB-45 works out for you. I've been having issues with mine heating up in my Monster GT, but I've lowered the gearing a ton since buring out my 8L and the 8XL may be over-revving. IDK what to do. The stock gearing on the MGT 8.0 is 20/49, but I've been using like a 14/58. lol, much lower...

HURRY! And could you include the gearing you use compare to the stock.

lincpimp 12.26.2008 01:51 AM

No need to under gear the kb xl motors. I run a 8l in a gtp and it is geared for 50mph. It gets warm, but that is due to the build/material quality. Great bang for the buck with these motors. Gear that bad boy up and see if the temps improve...

GHSTRCN 12.26.2008 02:04 AM

Haha, I guess I'll go for the stock gearing... Thanks!
