between the UE chassis and FLM chassis? I would assume same since its 8 cell/side?

captain harlock 01.04.2006 10:40 AM

No, he meant the Gmaxx CF straps. Yes, coolhand, please do it.

mmdooley 01.04.2006 06:08 PM

Yes please do and while your there masure the foam cell padding, That would work and look cool.:D

mmdooley 01.04.2006 06:31 PM

:D :D What about the G3 or G3XL's???

coolhandcountry 01.04.2006 07:30 PM

the flm is 190 mm from center to center of screw holes.
The gmaxx is 194 from center to center. What about the foam padding? You want wideth and length or combo. the pad is 55mm wide and 215mm long.

RC-Monster Mike 01.04.2006 09:34 PM

The FLM battery holders are pretty much done. The protos work great for top mounting the batteries on the flm chassis or the g-maxx, but are a little thin to work effectively on the bottom. We will thicken the material and go from there. The 4mm difference will require a modification on the g-maxx strap. The FLM straps have elongated holes to work with both.
MDooley - figure about another week. :)

mmdooley 01.04.2006 10:53 PM

That's great I will check in about a week lol:L: Hey coolhand what I was trying to get the width and length to see if the foam would fit the FLM chasiss. Thanks. :D

coolhandcountry 01.05.2006 09:05 AM

That is no problem dooley. It is tapered on the end so I took the measurement at the points. It should work on the flm. It may not line up with the holes on the the chassis the same. At least no mine.

jocktheglide 01.06.2006 06:27 AM

whoo hoo thanks for the update Mike.....be waiting man.

Basketti 01.17.2006 03:33 AM

What are you guys using at the moment? I am using the gorilla maxx straps with the flm ones. I have used zip ties to attach the gorilla maxx straps since i need some nuts to be able to use screws, and i always break a zip tie when i bash lol, i thought thats fine better the zip tie than the strap but now it has gotten annoying and the gorilla maxx strap is nearly ripping. So i thought oh well and used 2 zip ties per side and zip tied the batteries to the chassis aswell as used the gorilla maxx strap and it still didnt work, the battery still moved and hit the rear shocks. so what are u guys using that holds the batteries on really well? its kinda weird how the chassis is nearly flat which allows the batteries to come out the side, and move around, wouldnt it be better to have something like the stock chassis? like how the battery tray on the stock has walls so the battery cant fly out.

coolhandcountry 01.17.2006 08:28 AM

I am still trying some things out. I bought some ae cups to mount them with. That seems to work better than anything so far. The cut out in the back make it hard to mount them. I figure out something I post it for you basketti.

Basketti 01.18.2006 11:35 PM

Thanks CHC. :)

bigabike 02.01.2006 09:25 PM

Any update on these??

jocktheglide 03.10.2006 07:46 PM

I really want my alumimum batter straps....

IndyEMaxx 03.13.2006 06:22 PM

I'd like to know an update on these also. I was just runnin with my 7-cell IB3800s that are set up for the stock E-Maxx chassis with one cell per offset on top. I about lost one of my entire packs because the straps that came with the FLM chassis just didn't hold.

coolhandcountry 06.07.2006 09:45 AM

The o ring design is not worthless. It is very well really. If you want to make it bash worthy. Try to drill a hole in top with a plate across them PUt it with the pins so can quick change the batteries. Just a few suggestions.

overtki11 06.07.2006 10:03 AM

hmmm......thanks for the tip dude!:027:
