lol! for real, i am laughing with delight right now. that thing is awesome! you should throw a Neu 2230 in that beast. wait, did you really say 1/3 scale??? like, my 5 year old could drive that thing if it has a steering wheel. or i could! hell, the little kids electric cars are only 1/4 scale. take back the Neu 2230. you will need something bigger than that, say like this: http://www.opb.org/programs/ofg/vide...ic-Drag-Racing

OZ-RUSTLER 04.02.2009 01:01 AM

Man, that thing is a beast :gasp: Any idea what the RTR weight will be when finished? Great work.

Yeah. I watched it all.
I loved the take offs.

Keep em' coming.

bigboi146 04.02.2009 08:00 PM

That looks pretty good. Can't wait to see it done!

Krawlin 04.02.2009 09:37 PM

That thing is awesome! Sure looks like it would be a rush to drive when its done, but then again, might not want to drive it, would be a shame to get it scratched up.

Snipin_Willy 04.02.2009 09:42 PM

Have a motor selected yet? :p

monsterbaja 04.03.2009 09:43 AM

I think i will go for a Lehner 3080.Low kv and high volt...

And the weigh: not shore, but over 50kg ,yes

pinkpanda3310 04.03.2009 09:57 AM

Considering how quickly you produced what you have thus far- you've got way too much spare time :mdr: but at least you picked a good cause :intello:

That thing looks killer

JERRY2KONE 04.03.2009 10:05 AM

Pretty cool

I believe what you are building is a pretty unique project. The thing about building something like that is that it will either turn out to be a useless novelty item, or it will be worth more than you can imagine because of its originality. That project is quite a challenge, but what you have so far is pretty good. Besides all the fun you will have manufacturing and building it, you may end up having something that you can sell and get most of your money if not all of it back.

monsterbaja 04.03.2009 10:14 AM

Thanks for the compliment guys,it makes i all worth.

Holy crap dude... that's awesome!

JERRY2KONE 04.06.2009 12:34 AM

On to something.

I think you are on to something there. That looks pretty cool. You seem to have a nack for doing this type of project. Have you already got the electronics and drivetrain figured out for this build? I bet your having fun now. Keep up the good work and thanks for keeping us informed of your progress.

TheRandom1 04.06.2009 12:36 AM

You'll have to do a semi and a few cop cars and recreate the scene where they're transporting the D.A.

Overkill 04.06.2009 01:07 AM

Have you found a set of tires for the rear yet?, it will be pretty hard to find some TSL Super Swampers in the size you need them. You will almost need ATV (quad bike) tires for this beast, the ones off a 50cc kids quad :mdr:.

It's AWESOME!!!!!!!

monsterbaja 04.06.2009 10:19 AM

Overkill, you are right on with the tyres.
I think i will go for a lehner 3080 or a neu 2230.
As for the ESC,i hope castel c. is comming with a 8s ++ mm:yipi:
The drivetrain: belt( i think)

redshift 04.06.2009 09:34 PM

I almost think it may need a real turbine.... knock up work there monster b!

monsterbaja 04.13.2009 05:27 PM

A little closeup on my project.

gtxracer 04.14.2009 09:01 PM

HOLY CRAP!!! That's insane!!! Way to go man, aim high!!! :mdr:

MTBikerTim 04.14.2009 09:49 PM

That is incredible. I would be tempted to stick a 2 stroke in it. That is going to require some serious batteries to push it along.

Good luck with your project, it's awesome.

coolrunnings 04.15.2009 03:18 AM

I like it bro!

YogyBrushless 08.20.2009 03:29 AM

hey man anymore updates ?

JERRY2KONE 08.20.2009 04:02 AM

Lately.

Yea I had almost forgotten about this project. Hows it going for you? The body work was looking very interesting, so have you done anything new with it? From what I have seen it should be a real show stopper.

Ryu James 08.20.2009 05:44 AM

hey monsterbaja!

you mentioned using a lehner 3080 to power it. there is a lehner 3080 9 turn on ebay RIGHT NOW for $425 buy it now. that is a steal. looks very clean. personally i would use a Neu after comparing Neu and Lehner motors but if you have decided on lehner already that is a pretty good deal on ebay. good luck!
