I want to see the movie!
When do you gonna have that pull-out? EDIT: BTW, in that movie, that's a full beer box? |
I do too... lol. I just ordered 4 NEW CEN GST GENESIS 23MM WHEELS TIRES AND ADAPTORS because I finally realized my truck is too heavy/powerful for tiny 14mm hubs. I strip a wheel every single run... (NO KIDDING)! I posted another topic 2mp4p (too much power for plastic) and got advice to upgrade to 17mm or 23mm hubs to fix this problem. My wheels and hubs are on the way... Once they arrive I will be 100% READY. The only problem is the guy who agreed to have it hasn't been to the drag strip since we agreed on the pullout. I hope he hasn't chickened out??? We'll see if he shows up today!
|
Nice website! But rap's not my thing. I can give you real raw and hardcore rock that will scare the shit out of you when u listed to it....
And hook up to that damn Nitro already and pull his ass around the block! |

That vid is hilarious.
and i have my money on the bl. |
O.M.G. I just got those wheels/tires today and they are HUGE!! (They look good also). That 23mm hub is way larger than I pictured also. If I strip these wheels... (which I'm sure I shouldn't) there's no hope!! lol
Now whenever my 23mm wheel adaptors show up in the mail... I'll be back in business! I'll keep you posted... |
I finally got my adaptors!! It took 4ever... I'll test them out then (as long as they hold up like I'm hoping) I'm going to hunt for this Savage owner. He's really been M.I.A.
|
Let me know when you find him.
I'm in Charlotte too. I'll make sure it's a fair fight. :rules: We can add a few more BL MT "field filler's" if you wanna make it a little more Fast & Furious style. Hell, it sounds like it could be a handful of Ego's, I mean guys I may know. I'll bring the cam  |
that'll work! And I'm still hunting... He's usually at the hobby store every now and then but hasn't been showing lately. I'll find him...
|
Well mr nitro was spotted at Hobbytown the other day. He said he's still up for the challenge but he's not showing up at the drag stip! Honestly it might be better for him not to show up now because I just went from a big strong motor to a HUGE insanely (if that's a word)powerful one lol... Let's just say I've doubled the hp I was going to the challenge with before.
<a target='_blank' href='http://www.slide.com/s/ivcumH535T-2F_ZoXk4GhmHMFYEp5sva?referrer=hlnk'><img src='http://widget.slide.com/rdr/1/1/1/W/16085fdd/1/133/2RaD4T8y4D8MwpwMCe228_8D_8UEsOeD.jpg' border='0' alt='Bimaxximum vs Neu' title='Bimaxximum vs Neu' /></a> Just to let you know I'm not making this up, I'll get some of the guys at the strip to testify that this is a real challenge... Just one challenger is M.I.A. Just let me know... |
That is one big motor. Linc has dips on the Pletty?

Guess what? (I know it took forever) lol but I finally got to do some pullouts. 2 to be exzact! 1 T-Maxx and 1 upgraded nitro Savage. Who do you think won?? (I'll let your mind wander for now) Lol. Video footage coming soon!!
p.s. I have 2 more bigger stronger nitro trucks to pull against next Sunday. Stay Tuned!! |
The .32 axial motor right? Its a turd of course the brushelss won..
|
Your new big motor is the Castle 1717 isn't it ?

Great vid and awesome soundtrack! Nitro didn't have a chance at all!
|
Looks like that 6s pack is doing the job... Nitro does not stand a chance!
|
Man that Savage almost had you ... NOT. Nice video.
|
What excuses did the nitro owners have for losing afterwards?
Great video, nothing like seeing the other truck being pulled backwards at 20mph to know that you've won. :yipi: |
Loved watching the Nitro getting Pulled Bass Ackwards !
|
they took it like men... Lol
Thanks for checking it out. The funniest thing is my truck was geared at 26/66 and in 2nd gear! Lol. I have a guy who called me out for this Sunday. He has 2 nitro trucks. 1 with glisterin (or whatever it's called) and the other is HUGE with a HUGE motor. I'm not toying with him. Next Sunday I'm lowering my gearing majorly, turning my tires around for more traction, adding weight to the front, lowering my suspension, and welding a aluminum hook near the bottom of my rear skid plate. If he outpulls me after all these adjustments, I will bow down gracefully!! Lol. I'll post the new video Monday/Tuesday latest!!
|
Nice one. I'd like to see the two of them vs your one truck. I still think you would kill them.
In fact, maybe see how many of them it takes to outpull you. 2, 3, 4? Bet a diff blows before your truck would go backwards. |
In the video your truck was kinda far away to tell, did you have any tire spin at all ?
If you didn't, maybe turning the tires around wouldn't even be nessasary ? Good Luck and keep us posted !! |
:lol:T-Bro, i saw a video on You tube with an E maxx full options with neu 1527 :D
That was you ? |
@Finnster lol I thought of the same thing... I might do that if I win all my pulls Sunday. @Bondunutz I dont think there really was... My truck weighs over 17 lbs so the wheels dont spin too much. I'm adding about 2 pounds for this Sundays pulls so maybe I will be ok.
@Nuz69 Yeah thats me. |

Yeah BL domination of course. Nice pull, silly nitro.

You guys are so cool... I took some extra photos to show you I'm not playing you on the upgrades...
First photo shows my new (lower gravity aluminum hook) I welded onto my skid plate. Also a weight I threw together I'm going to hang on my front bumper. (dont laugh at my welds... I was in a HURRY) lol. Second shows some of the added weight I will have in this pullout. (I'm putting my old 9 cell 3700 nimh pack on the other side to help balance weight and add traction! Last photo shows the change in my gearing. From 26/66 to 16/72 (I'm dying to see how JUMPY my truck will be with gearing this low... lol. p.s. if you look close, my 26t pinion gear finally shredded after the second pull. I popped a wheelie to show off... then my truck slowly rolled down the strip... lol! The best thing about that.... NO OTHER DAMAGE!! I'll take a shredded pinion gear over a shredded tranny or diff gear ANYDAY!! lol. My only other worry was pulling my bumper off, but now that I have a pulling hook, I'm worry FREE! So, tell me what you think?? <a target='_blank' href='http://www.slide.com/s/xPM5gEtR6T8d6ys9wForOdF4XWUSFuM-?referrer=hlnk'><img src='http://widget.slide.com/rdr/1/1/1/W/161f82bf/1/56/EF1kU9z83T9SHDIHhYG7PxPgStB2M7Rc.jpg' border='0' alt='hook/weight' title='hook/weight' /></a> <a target='_blank' href='http://www.slide.com/s/s_GwQVQe6D-fnqByTfVlU6hLh7ljYeex?referrer=hlnk'><img src='http://widget.slide.com/rdr/1/1/1/W/161f82c0/1/56/atyIw2bf6j_YUXjAAro80x70wZI-oTHN.jpg' border='0' alt='extra weight' title='extra weight' /></a> <a target='_blank' href='http://www.slide.com/s/bhGLMmXn1j9DCBWMUorO0NOcrD7WTyt7?referrer=hlnk'><i mg src='http://widget.slide.com/rdr/1/1/1/W/161f82c1/1/56/jDn-vGyt4T8REEVBhCWkX4LbK78a_EUx.jpg' border='0' alt='lower gearing' title='lower gearing' /></a> |
Impressive!! I was actually thinking that the welds look good. The truck is what 19lbs now? HAHA! With that low gearing I would really watch motor temps. It would suck to have it fry. I don't think I would bash with it like that much at all.
|
If you place the towline as low as possible, below the axle line, it will actually add some tractive weight, without adding weight. Theoretically it will spread the load better between the F & R diffs, and should keep both trucks from hopping. But too low (say ground level) could also transfer too much to the front and that would work against you... just thoughts.
|
I was pulling my daughter around in her wagon the other day and found the best place to hook up was at chassis level. If I hooked higher like at the wing brace, the front would lift. If I hooked up lower than the chassis, the rear didn't hook up as well. So, redshift's theory does work.
|
Haha kids these days have it made. I had to tow myself around, or find a hill lol.
Yeah you could do a static test by tying up to an immovable object, trying various mounts, and apply a little throttle to see how the truck reacts. Or you could fake him out and have him tie up higher than you, that would assure a win hehe. But we're brushless, we don't need to cheat do we? |
You might have to think about going w/ mod1 gears at some point if you fry hardened 32p gears. Then again, better that than something else. g/l
|
you lost me....
Quote:
@Finnster Maybe... but my pinion gears are aluminum. I think it just got too hot and melted... The one I'm using Sunday is steele but so is my spur gear. I just hope steele on steele doesnt create a whole new problem.... |
Gearing that is too low may cause motor overheating if you are winding it out at top rpms a lot. But for the most part, gearing low does result in lower temps because the motor (and the rest of the system) isn't working as hard.
|
@BrianG I see. Well i'm not racing with it geared low only pulling. I won't have the rpms up no higher than I have to to drag those nitro trucks down the parkinglot. Also, I might try to pull a nitro 1/5 scale streetcar and a 1/5 nitro truck if they are down for the challenge. Stay tuned!!

i will pull you for Pink Slips!
