Seriously,I am considering to sell all my 7.4V system on my 1/10 vehicles and switch them all to 22.2V with low KV motors. What I've been longed for and finally I saw the dawn. I thinking it was kinda stupid getting 700W power by 7V x 100A instead of 20V x 35A, especially when high volt Li based batteries have been so practically convinient to use.

kamalt 05.12.2009 02:02 AM

Hi Patrick, love the MMM. Would love to a waterproof MMM and MM combo. Thanks for making a wonderful product.

chilledoutuk 05.12.2009 10:39 AM

on the fuse request dont do it, i had that on one of my futaba esc's back in the day and it just continously got on my tits with the fuse plastic melting and having a dodgy connection that kept disconnecting my battery.

on an other note some sort of current limiting would be a nice feature as im sure it could save some escs when things go wrong and has other benefits in smoothing the power delivery.

Thanks for the laughs! I love that saying!

SunnyHouTX 06.15.2009 07:04 PM

Has anybody heard anything new about the MM Pro? Like when it's getting released to the masses?

suicideneil 06.15.2009 09:58 PM

MM Pro is shaping up to be a do-it-all esc for anything from a 1/12 to a 1/8 scale, which is nice (any Fastshow fans out there? no? just me then...).

To address someones requests earlier though;

1. The one-touch programming of my orange esc was very nice, and very simple, I must admit, would be worth concidering atleast.
3. Like the HW escs, would be nice and shouldnt be too hard to do- just means soldering on a laid down 2 pin and 3 pin connectors that stick out the side or top of the esc. No more ripped off switches or damaged rx leads that cant be easily replaced by the user- just think of the repairs that would save if you could buy them seperately to replace a damaged one...

SunnyHouTX 06.17.2009 05:36 PM

I guess there's still no word on the expected release date?

snellemin 06.17.2009 05:46 PM

None yet.

nitrostarter 06.18.2009 02:57 PM

LEts see some more pics!! and hear a release date!!!

snellemin 06.18.2009 03:04 PM

I have before and after pics, but can't show them.

Thomas 06.23.2009 06:30 PM

Is there any chance that the MM Pro will be available before August (2009)?

This seems to be perfect for a light 6s 1/8 buggy.

e-mike 06.23.2009 06:50 PM

me too i want to know:whistle::lol:

I don't know where you would get that idea. For the last 31 years Novak has been designing and manufacturing our products here in our California plant. Of course a lot of the raw parts come from outside this country because that is the only place you can get them. There are only three US manufacturers that I know of that are left in the states and I think that we are the only one that makes our motors here.

/agree -- I think the manufacturers Bob is talking about is Castle, Tekin and Novak. I don't know of another stateside ESC manufacturer.

Arct1k 06.26.2009 02:57 PM

Welcome Bob!

johnrobholmes 06.26.2009 03:00 PM

Astro still makes motors here, but isn't quite the same market anymore. They are making a motorcycle motor for me.

By the way Patrick congratulations on your new pick and place machine. It is always nice to get a new toy. It is even nicer if it also makes a profit.

Bob,

I did say "I thought", which means I'm not sure where your products are manufactured at. I hope to see some new products from Novak.

bdebde 06.27.2009 01:28 PM

So, any ETA on these yet?...Patrick?

Yes I know you did. I just wanted to Clarify the statement that you made so that other people would know that Novak, Castle, Tekin and Astro Flight do make the stuff here. New stuff from Novak is always coming down the line. It is not fair to Patrick for me to talk about our stuff on his forum so I won't elaborate.

Of course. But as I said before this is a Castle thread and it wouldn't be fair to Patrick to discuss our products on his web site.

More clearly stated:

We're interested in what you have to say and what is coming from "the Orange guys." You have your own subforum and there are a ton of people here who would be all over a thread from you even giving us a tease of what is to come. Don't be shy, we are always willing to hear from a domestic manufacturer :)

BrianG 07.01.2009 09:57 AM

lol, that's right. I guess one of those times where written text doesn't come across correctly.
