Just ran my Truck earlier
The startup routine is much smoother at low speed. wayy less stuttering, the ability to change the motor direction is a big plus also- no more switching bullets:) |
just tried to up the timing and nada same cogging or hesitation when i climb something....tried other mmm and motor same thing...even my mamba max do the same....and with the 1.20 its butter:whistle:
|
i will keep the 1.21...just because a can disable the BEEEPP song...
|
Just one question about that software... I downloaded it a few minutes ago, but how should I install this thingy on the MMM? O.o Or do I just have to put the MMM with the USB on the pc, and then it's done?
EDIT: I can't install the software? He wants to download .net framework or something, but he says wrong size blablabla? I'm using windows XP. Help please? |
download the .net framework its free then you should install the cc software
|
other issue with the new soft(well i think)....i installed my mamba max in my hyper7 and i run it on 3 cell lipo...2300kv 70mm medusa...so everinthing run perfectly( foward-brake-backward ) but afer 6 minute the esc wont go backward..its make a sound but refuse to move....goes foward and brake but wont goes back....i thinked that my esc was dead(its a brand new)but no i reinstalled the 1.20 soft and this issue is gone...
my set-up hyper7 medusa 2300kv 70mm zippy 30c 3 cell fasst 3pm mamba max-lowest timing-BEEP DISABLED-punch control 50%, |
I have just finished racing with SW, MM and MMM. With new firmware those systems seem to be more powerfull. Strange
|
yea i put in on my MMM and 1y in the truggy and MM and tekin 2650 and both are smooth, i like the adjustable auto lipo
|
I just installed it yesterday. The auto lipo adjustable cut-off was all that I could ever ask for. Thanks Castle!
Note to those who are getting more power after the update, the timing on my esc seemed to have reset itself to normal despite the fact that I had it set to 0 before the update. Timing adjustment is now displayed under the advanced settings tab. |
Will the "auto-lipo settings" detect the number of A123 cell?
If it work for A123, the auto lipo adjustable cut-off can be a really good add for A123 ! |
You don't need a lipo cutoff for A123's. But if you want to, just use the custom setting and set it for 2V per cell.
|
One of my A123 pack seem's bad just coz of a wrong cut-off setting...
i always switch 4S to 5S or 5S to 7S and i am not always near a computer to reprogramme it... So if the "auto lipo cut off" detect A123 cell, it ll help! ^^ |

You should set a "custom" cutoff for the A123 cells. |
so after reinstalled the new soft everything going flawlessly...anyway my issue was due by a wrong setting in my tx:whistle:so the controller seem to better understand the motor at low speed,,less cogg and i really love the option DISABLE THE BEEP!!!..and now when i go backward and apply trottle to go foward im able to stop the truck slowly..
now its time to have the mm pro for testing this new soft:whistle: |

Smoothness improvement will be nice as with the feigao startup wasn't always silky smooth. The medusa was better on startup. |
I've read the firmware beta info... and I'm confident that it will work in my standard setup. I installed the software and will be up and running as soon as my last parts come in this week. I will post the results...

No harm installing it on a MMM V1?
It runs so good now I don't want to chance anything going wrong. I can't imagine anything smoother than my MMM V1 and Neu 1512/2.5d. |

go dont be afraid install it...you will be surprise:yes: |
Ok im new to the MMM how do I set my lipo cut off to custom? I see auto an up to 18v but I plan to run 6s but I want my cut off at 3.1v per cell vs 3v how do I do this?
|
With the new 3.13 software under the auto lipo option is an option to change the auto lipo individual cell cutoff value.
|
|
It definitely has a smoother start-up now. I sheared a tooth off one of the gears in the tranny in my Rustler and it rather than cog like mad it overpowered my slipper clutch and smoked it
|
it is smoother, i practiced for a while at the small indoor track down the road on saturday and purposely drove at low speeds and putted around the infield for a lap or two. was hard to say how much better it really was running on 4s instead of the usual 6, but the fact that i noticed it means it was alot better. never had problems with the old software (like to stay on throttle!) but once and a while at neutral it would "freeze" until you went back to neutral and tried again (once every 25 runs or so?). impressed with the added auto lipo cutoff as its what i use, but more interested in the graphing tab and wanting to know if a data logger is on the way?
|
Just tested it! Its alittle smoother. I may post a video 2moro if that is a good idea.
I really like everything Castle is doing right now. |
I just updated my Mamba Max and everything went well but I can't get my Mamba Monster V1 to recognize the Castlelink. It has worked well in the past and I have never had trouble before. Any sugestions would be greatly appreciated.
Has anybody tried to update a V1? |
yes I'm :)
|
Castle Creations is the best. :yipi:
I was pleasantly surprised to see my 2200kV motor arrive today after the Traxxas EVX2 blew the caps yesterday just pressing the off button. So back in with the single motor plate and MMM on the EMaxx and I turned my 3S packs into 2S packs anticipating some big power. Wow - no need for 6S with this badboy motor, and now I check the forum and theres an update for MMM aswell! The ability for custom cell cutoff V is essential - so many people must have wasted huge $$ in replacing Lipos prematurely without this feature. It really annoys me that all my plane ESC's are fixed to 3V/cell or sometimes less. If anyone does have some bugs after updating (my throttle went all 'funky' at low speed) I recommend just redoing the updates and all the settings as for me this has fixed issues both times now. Thank you CC, you're #1. XX  |
