That is one thick shaft you got there man.

BL_RV0 06.12.2009 04:50 PM

I did break the shaft on my medusa, but that's only 5mm.

lol...

I picked up the bantam charger and a couple batts. 2 of my 5S zippies have lost a cell, and HC no longer has zippy-H's to even replace them with. Crappy cheap ass zippies!

in the end, I have only paid $20 more for ea of the Neu lipos I have then I paid for the Zips. Better balancing and C rating to boot! Yeah Neu

Doo540, I thought you weren't selling that 1521 1y anymore?

Is having 2 flat spots a problem? Why?

One flat spot looks a lot cleaner than 2  Though there's nothing wrong with it per se.

Instead of having the shaft turned down to 5mm (maybe I like it thick  ) I'm gonna try to set up my XLB with a 9mm wide plastic spur gear, along with a pinion of matching width.

Fin
I wasn't going to sell it but I just picked up 3 more Neu's so....I know have more motors then trucks. Send me a pm and I will send you a full list of what motors I have.

Has anyone run a Neu Helicopter motor in there trucks yet? It has a built in fan and the wires come out of the front side of the can, 1515H 2.5D I might give it a ride in one of my LST2.

Pinion is gonna cover the other spot.

I just received my 1112 in the mail today. Wow the shaft is hard to turn. This is going to be one torquey motor!

I can't wait to drop it in...too bad the damn mini E-Revo won't be here till Thursday or Friday.

Anyone know if you can trim the wires coming out of a Neu or no?

MetalMan 06.13.2009 04:12 AM

Strange that it's hard to turn, this 1521 is the easiest to turn of all the 4-pole/slotted motors I've handled. You won't be able to shorten the wires, they're part of the windings.

BP-Revo 06.13.2009 04:19 AM

Thanks for the heads up. What connectors should I use? I'm thinking 5.5mm from Mike will be colossal overkill...what about 4mm?

MetalMan 06.13.2009 04:23 AM

4mm will be plenty! I bet you could even get away with 3.5mm, if that's what the stock ESC uses.

BP-Revo 06.13.2009 04:33 AM

I doubt the 3.5mm would cut it. The motor is rated for 600w continuous (1200w peak) on Neu's website. I am going to be running 4S lipo, and at that voltage a peak burst is equal to nearly 100 amps..
