well all i need now are the center driveshafts that Mike is working on. Its really hard to get ahold of him.

markland556 02.27.2006 12:38 AM

Has Mike been online at all lately. I sent him back some parts awhile ago and never got a refund for them...
And all i need are those driveshafts...
What other driveshafts will work with the gmaxx chassis with extension?

squeeforever 02.27.2006 12:45 AM

the extend ue one in the shop will work i believe.

coolhandcountry 02.27.2006 09:10 AM

It will squee. That is what I used for a while. I still have them accually in one truck only half in the other.

Have you emailed mike about the returned stuff ? - I know that the drive shafts are being worked on - they are not on the back burner. If i am correct the shafts are done but the cups are at the heat treaters. If im correct that is. Shoot mike an email about the rerturn.....

markland556 02.28.2006 02:22 AM

just got in contact with him. should have my return sorted out asap, and as for the shafts i bit the bullet and ordered UE ones this morning before he told me they should be here next week. HMMM...

HotnCold 02.28.2006 07:37 AM

you can never have enough parts - :005: :005:

markland556 03.05.2006 01:37 AM

Well i got the shafts today and they sit pretty loose in there. Im gunna have to use that fuel tubing to make it a little tighter. Maby ill order some of the ones mike is making, but for now i think the UE ones will work just dam fine.

Now all i have to get is the linkage between the servo horn and the servo saver. And being the retard like i am i put female deans connectors on the ESC istead of male ones, so theres another thing to pick up at the hobby shop. I also need to find some body mounts, i wanna get 2 front ones becasue i dont need the connector for the EZ-start. If anyone knows where to get like 2 aluminum ones both front for a good price let me know. I also need a cool body.

coolhandcountry 03.05.2006 07:47 AM

The aluminum body mounts are nice looking. They are rough on your body and shock tower though. I have broke a few tower with them. I like the cheaper plastic better. I painted mine to match up. It looks good until about 50 crashes or so.

markland556 03.05.2006 11:25 PM

Sweet, got all the parts at the hobby store today. Spend about $450 there. Got tires, tons of nice new tool sets and all the little parts i needed plus a reciever.

PS. I really need to get CVD boots bad, i know ill fry them if i dont. Where can i get some that fit all the UE cups??

boss 302 03.06.2006 06:58 AM

try mike he can most likely get them for you

markland556 03.09.2006 12:39 AM

got the truck all done. Tried it out in my little hall outside my work room and the throttle stuck por something and smashed it into my couch. Best the shit outta the front bumper, but i fixed it, looks perfect again. I still need to talk to mike or someone about those CVD boot's. Also i really dont like the shock towers i have right now. Im very limited on positions of my shocks because im using the huge proline ones. So im looking for some better ones right now. But maby thats somethig for later. The truck also sits a little too low to the ground for my style. Soo ya..

other than the tires and wheels it would be a great looking truck :003:. hey after you drive it for awhile give us a report on that controller your using. your the first person ive seen run one.

markland556 03.10.2006 02:30 PM

Whats wrong with the wheel's and trires, they are pretty god for just mashing around in the park's baseball fields. But i also got some T-maxx sand paddles off ebay for cheap. Those will come in handy for my trip to seaside oregon.
I will also be getting some on-road tires but im not sure of any good ones...

squeeforever 03.10.2006 05:36 PM

i have heard that the jaco foams are pretty good. the roadrages dont hook up to good. my crimefighters hook up better, as a matter of fact. the roadrages will let it spin out easily when you nail it from a dead stop.

just not my personal prefrence :010: i like my tires to have a scale look to them like 5" tall and 2.5" wide not 6" tall and 4" wide, thats why i sold the tires and wheels in my pic <- . i just think a skinny tire looks better. seaside or. nice another oregonen :027:

markland556 03.19.2006 01:50 AM

If you like the terra crusher. You could try to convert one to brushless. I dn't think i have seen one of them done yet.

HotnCold 03.19.2006 07:38 AM

And on that note - I have a terra crusher that im debating on selling that has literally 20 mins of run time - has been converted to the .21 - and all aluminum arms, new shocks, 40 series, new 1/4 scale steering servo, etc - sweet truck, if someone is interested in it - PM me for pics and info - i would sell it without motor as a roller if someone is interested. Thread hijack over.. :005:

markland556 07.26.2006 11:46 PM

Well im now selling this truck. It has less than an hour of run time. To tell you the truth im scared of the power of this truck. I dont want to kill myself lol. But i really need the money for a paintball gun. email me or IM me.

markland556 02.20.2007 04:06 PM

Well, it is now again time to try to sell this truck. I diddnt really try my hardest last time, and now i just have way too much stuff in this house, so some of it needs to go.
I am selling the E-Maxx along with 2 terra crushers, a brushless Micro RS4, another e-maxx, and a Traxxas 4-tec.

Feel free to email me at xboxonly@comcast.net, i hardly get on the forums anymore. and as long as you have a reasonable offer, im sure we can work something out. I just really need to sell these.

Mike.L 02.20.2007 05:29 PM

wow! how mutch for the radio? JR?

jnev 02.20.2007 07:32 PM

I bet you can get quite a bit if you sold the shocks seperately on your supermaxx on ebay.

I was wondering the same about the radio as well... how much?

markland556 02.21.2007 12:26 AM

Well i dont really want to sell all the bits and pieces. Id much rather sell the whole thing.

squeeforever 02.21.2007 01:05 AM

If you do decide to part it out, I would be interested in the Hitec 5955.

jnev 02.21.2007 01:10 AM

Personally, I think you can get a lot more if you part out soem of the parts, not all. Like you can sell a roller with no electronics, and then the other stuff seperately. Also, parts liekt he shocks, that many people are trying to get will get you a lot of money as well.

BTW - if you do go this route, I'll be interested in the rado system if I am thinking of the right one.

markland556 02.21.2007 02:20 AM

I will see what happens in the next few days, then ill let you guys know
I really want to sell the 2 terra crushers i have.

suicideneil 02.21.2007 06:18 PM

Thats a real shame, but a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do. I personally would recommend selling the 2 terra crushers as complete setups- rtr is always a big plus for buyers. As for the stock emaxx- sell it as rtr too. And for the beasty gmaxx, maybe sell the radio separtely and sell the truck as artr, but with a sensible reserve. If you dont get a good enough price, then aprt it out to a degree- you will get alot more money back that way. My 2c anyway.

neweuser 02.21.2007 06:53 PM

Personally, I would sell the gmaxx in parts....you would get way more money for it...

Ill second that!

markland556 02.22.2007 02:16 AM

Ya, i will hold off parting out the G-maxx till i sell the other cars. If i have to keep one of the 6 total, it will be the G-maxx. I just need to get everything back togeather for the other cars. Just got the new 2.5 engine in the 4-tec.

Procharged5.0 02.22.2007 11:23 AM

Just curious.............

How much for the e-maxx?

also let me know if you decide to part out the G-Maxx. I'd be interested in the chassis, trans, and diffs/bulks

Ah yes, just saw that in his sig- ditching the flm chassis and going for the gmaxx instead- that would make a killer combo (gmaxx&racerx).

Mike.L 02.22.2007 05:44 PM

if you part it out then pm me on the jr radio.

thanks, mike.

markland556 11.07.2018 07:54 PM

Well its been over 11 years since my last post.. haha. Happy to say I still have all these cars sitting around. The Quark ESC lasted maybe 10 runs before it decided not to work anymore, and the truck got put away...
Ive decided its time to get this overly expensive thing going again. Now im on the hunt for a new ESC and new batteries. Seems lipo's are the only way to go these days. I need to dig out the superbrain and see what kinda batterys that thing car charge up before i dump too much money into this hobby all over again.
Looks for any recommendations on an ESC and battery setup for this rig.

suicideneil 11.07.2018 09:54 PM

I'd say the Mamba Monster is still king really as far as esc options go- there are a couple different versions, not sure of the real difference but either will work fine. If you want a cheaper option then look at the hobbywing and hobby king offerings. As for batteries, there are tons of new flavours from hobbyking, as well as all the old favourites- prices are a lot better and reliability also, so look around. I think most of the links I gathered up years back are still valid:

http://www.robotwars.00server.com/usefullinks.html

Probably...

tinuss 11.14.2018 12:13 PM

switched almost all mine to Hobbywing.... decent price and good quality .
