serum, the topic is shocks....

Serum 06.26.2005 02:05 PM

yes?

maxxdude mentioned the servo saver, and you started about the gpm's. that's what i thought i answered, and like i said, that is what you get when you go offtopic.

Those gpm SHOCKS are wothless if you compare them in price and quality to the UE shocks. (which is ontopic as well, and answering your question too)

squeeforever 06.26.2005 02:50 PM

so which would be the best? integy msr5s, prolines, or ue? im only gonna use 4

Serum 06.26.2005 02:59 PM

UE's No doubt.

On the proline shocks only one has spring. On a heavy truck would that push the truck up?

Serum 07.30.2005 03:10 AM

You can get heavier springs for the prolime shocks.

This is easier said than done! I have been waiting over a month for these heavy springs, which keep getting back ordered from Proline. In theory, these are available and a nice option for the heavier trucks.

Serum 07.30.2005 10:30 AM

Glad you got mine in time though... ;)

RC-Monster Mike 07.30.2005 10:36 AM

Well, I got half of them in time, as I recall! I had to send the other set seperately!

barndog 07.30.2005 10:44 AM

ue shocks

well after reading all of this i think i am going to go with the ue racer x shocks on my emaxx.any set up suggestions?thanks

RC-Monster Mike 07.30.2005 10:46 AM

How heavy is your truck? I use 4 shocks on a 9 pound e-maxx, with 100 weight oil and the red springs. Works very well.

barndog 07.30.2005 10:50 AM

shock

it is 2"longer than stock and weighs 9lbs. 3oz.with out batterys

Serum 07.30.2005 10:55 AM

I just did'n't want to bring it up Mike....

Those UE's are topnotch

i ran my heavy savage (14 lbs+) with those UE's with 90wt oil.. and the black and blue springs. (4 shocks only)

RC-Monster Mike 07.30.2005 12:32 PM

I agree, the UE shocks are excellent. I use a heavier oil with softer springs, but either way, the shocks just plain work!

rchippie 07.30.2005 01:46 PM

I run ue shocks on my gmaxx red springs in fr 60w oil, & blue springs rr 60 oil works great. I also run ue shocks on my racebomb i use the same setup as my gmaxx .

coolhandcountry 07.30.2005 07:09 PM

Does the UEs come with different spring or does the stock type springs work? I think that is what i going to order up. I think i going to shoot for the 8 shock set up.

barndog 07.30.2005 08:49 PM

shocks

what about power strokes or ue racer x?

Yes the springs come with the shocks. You get 2 black , 2 blue, 2 red, 2 white, black being the stiffest & white being the softest & 4 shocks. I also hear alot of good things about the proline power stroke shocks, that mike sells
