What material is the motor mount? It looks pretty thin, and could break/bend. When I did a 1/8" thick mount from 6061 T6 aluminum, it bent from even the mildest jumps. 1/4" 6061 T6 aluminum did the trick.

It is made of graphite, it is twice the strength of steel so it should hold up. If not I can always make another one at work and just make it thicker.
It is really quick and has very good handling I'm gonna go take it to a construction site tonight and see how it does. I'll post how it goes. |
Looks good, I wish my truck was running, I would be careful with the motor mount depending on the laminate it may flex and munch your spur, if you support the rear of the motor I think you are good to go. I am curious how much it weighs. I hope my truck just spins the tires like yours, I dont like wheelies. I love the hellfire bodies they look mean.

I weighed it and it weighed 10lbs. 15 oz. with batteries controller motor everything. It's pretty light.
I was driving it last night and I flipped it on the street, it rolled for a good 15 feet on the lid and where it came to a stop there was the rear center drive shaft just lying there beside it. ????? I had to take the center diff out to get it back in, I can't figure out how it came out. But that's the only incident I have had while running it. |
nl12, Your not gonna have wheelies with a center diff unless the fluid is REALLY heavy.
