Well put Bondonutz, And some members are particular to Krylon spray paint, while others may use it also they may not be as impressed.

Sparky

Try to read what i've wrote into the (). You can use it to solder the deans, but if you use it to solder round connectors the jig works like a heat sink and this is a bad thing when you are welding. Deans are to small for my use so, for me, the jig is useless.

Well said Bondo and Bruce.

I guess it's easy to assume that everybody here has the same soldering problems that they have over there in the kiddie forum

I clamp my wire to a piece of plywood on my kitchen counter (my workbench) with one of these:

I've used various techniques to hold my bullet connector in place while I solder - it usually involves placing the tool that is closest at hand up against the bullet to keep it from moving. Works every time.

(I've used Krylon Fusion more than once to paint Lexan - I've been happy with the results but I'm not going to recommend it to you)

(I've never built a truck for $12.48 though)

Two video's of soldering 6.5mm bullets I made for a member here, and a short explanation of series and parallel.

I usually use a bench vise, but I was in a hurry to get him the info...
