Tried drilling the pinion but quickly realised it was a lost case, new metall bit and it was just scratching the surface.

but, the magnets in the ones that just sold out were from the " old batch" ......before the 400% increase in materials to make the magnets.

First the Chinese government funded the mining of rare earth magnet making it artificially low priced, despite it having huge local environmental consciousness(this is one of the reason so few countries is mining).

If you purchased the minerals of any sort when the prices is low doesn't make the mineral less valuable

BTW -- speaking of rare earths --

Prices down by about 15% from the highs. Magnet prices are still climbing (due to lag between raw material and processed product...)

But there is hope on the horizon!

So I am guessing based on current pricing these would sell for at least 300+ new?!?!?!:gasp:

Don't get me wrong, I am not selling this as the beast it's going in will weigh a ton. I am guessing 20-25 lbs but won't drive over about 10-15 mph at best. :diablo:
