The 14t Century pinion I have is black (black oxide coated or whatever).

I was running those century pinions in my first buggy conversion with the metal spur gear. I know that the problem wasn't mount flex or jammed gears. I got an average of 10 minutes per pinion running hard on 4S with a 7XL, geared 14/46. Anything after 10 minutes was iffy.

Got my parts to adapt the hacked clutch bell to the prop adapter I have. I'll post my results with pictures ASAP.
