JOHNNYMAXXIMA 09.16.2005 02:02 AM

I'm sure you will post, Mike, when it is available but thought I would check just in case. Any word yet.

RC-Monster Mike 09.16.2005 06:25 AM

The trannies are done and should be in house by mid week next week. Full trannies and half trannies.

Papa 09.16.2005 07:05 AM

Mike

Will you please tell us a little more about these transmission cases? Specifically, what the forcasted benefits are, and what sort of price range we may expect. Inquiring minds would like to know.

Thanks in advance.

RC-Monster Mike 09.17.2005 09:02 AM

Benefits=bling! The full tranny case should be around $75. The half case designed to fit the g-maxx single speed will be about half of that(makes sense!). For the half case, it will improve the strength of the tranny mount, as it will now be aluminum vs. the cast nylon on the stock tranny(4 screws). It will also allow the tranny to be full aluminum vs. just the aluminum front from the single speed conversion. The full case will achieve the same thing for those interested in the full tranny cncd from aluminum.

Papa 09.17.2005 09:33 AM

Sign me up for a half case, Mike. I'll order as soon as you give the word.

RC-Monster Mike 09.17.2005 10:30 AM

Should be here by midweek.

Shadow350Z 09.17.2005 12:21 PM

thats great news Mike!!
i might get a full tranny =)

coolhandcountry 09.17.2005 06:20 PM

I got a questin for you mike. On the full case. Will the idler pin holder be included? That is something I would like to know.

RC-Monster Mike 09.17.2005 06:35 PM

I think the case has its own idler shaft, actually.

coolhandcountry 09.17.2005 06:39 PM

I think it is off set some. If you thinking about the same piece I am talking about. Looks a like a little triangle in the middle. That is what alot of the cases are missing. I do know if you get half don't need it. Let me know mike if that the piece.

RC-Monster Mike 09.17.2005 07:17 PM

I will let you know when I have the trannies in my hands.

Shadow350Z 09.17.2005 07:23 PM

can i request a pic when u get em Mike??
its gonna be polished right or/and will they come anodized in diff colors??

coolhandcountry 09.17.2005 07:29 PM

A pic of that new tranny would be nice. Is going to be avilable in colors? That would make it that much sweeter.

Shadow350Z 09.17.2005 07:31 PM

yah would be nice cuz my maxx hopefully will be silver/blue truck all over

RC-Monster Mike 09.22.2005 07:34 PM

The tranny cases have arrived. I will list these in the store tonight. They are seemingly identical to the stock case, but cnc'd from 6061 aluminum. I also have the half cases for the g-maxx single speeds!

coolhandcountry 09.22.2005 07:55 PM

You got a pic mike. What about the idler gear holder?

RC-Monster Mike 09.22.2005 07:58 PM

Working on the pictures. It has an aluminum idler gear holder included.

Shadow350Z 09.22.2005 08:02 PM

whoa nice!!
ima ask my dad for em as soon as he gets home

coolhandcountry 09.22.2005 08:03 PM

Now that is sweet. I may have to get one of those. Make me excited thinking about all that shiny metal. :D Thanks mike.

Shadow350Z 09.22.2005 10:08 PM

oh yeah

have you tried it out yet Mike?
if so are there any probs??

RC-Monster Mike 09.22.2005 10:10 PM

1 Attachment(s)
I have not yet tried these out. I just got them in today. Here is a picture.

RC-Monster Mike 09.22.2005 10:12 PM

I most likely will only use the half tranny for the single speeds.

Shadow350Z 09.22.2005 10:26 PM

omg they LOOK SO SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!!
how much?
hopefully under 50$$

RC-Monster Mike 09.22.2005 10:32 PM

$90 for the full tranny. $40 for the half that mounts with the single speed conversions.

Shadow350Z 09.23.2005 12:41 AM

ugg 90$$
i dont think my dad is gonna order it for me

mt_enthusiast 09.23.2005 12:42 AM

any ETA on when you might test the half tranny with the G-Maxx single speed Mike? Also, and ETA on restocking the single speed?

JOHNNYMAXXIMA 09.23.2005 02:33 AM

Will my UltraMaxxed gears fit in there ok?

Serum 09.23.2005 03:32 AM

better get me one of those halves Mike!!

You've got my address.. ;)

rchippie 09.23.2005 03:37 AM

$90.00 for a CNC'd aluminum tranny case is not bad at all. I've seen the cast tranny cases go for well over $100.00. Hopefully its a perfect fit for the gmaxx conversion.

RC-Monster Mike 09.23.2005 06:18 AM

The UM gears should fit just fine. $90 is a very reasonable price for a couple cnc parts like this.

Serum 09.23.2005 06:42 AM

It's a REALLY!! fair price if you ask me!

Dafni 09.23.2005 06:44 AM

Agree, this is a fair price!

Mike, please keep a half-piece for my G-tranny!

Shadow350Z 09.23.2005 10:10 AM

lol try telling that to my dad

just tell him it's ten easy installments of $8.99. You can check just how much he pays attention. ;)

Papa 09.23.2005 11:06 AM

Or $3.00 a day for one month. I'd pack a lunch and put the lunch money to better use.

maxxdude1234 09.23.2005 03:29 PM

Looks very nice. It would be interesting to see how it compares to stock weight wise, especially with the gorillamaxx single speed conversion.

coolhandcountry 09.23.2005 03:51 PM

I say it will be heavier. It looks a lot better to. Good question though. What is the weight difference?

RobertP 09.23.2005 04:16 PM

Just ordered mine today...looking forward to this fine piece of metal work:D Fair price as well, considering how much cnc equipment and cutting tools cost these days.

Shadow350Z 09.23.2005 06:05 PM

lol thats wut im doing all my lunch money is going into my E-maxx
i got 150$$$ saved alrdy
