I probably would have set the wheels up with more protection behind them- I see just a tad bit of pink over-spray on the lower A-arms & surrounding area; should wash off okay though. That is looking very good though- I hope your girlfriend shows her appreciation :wink:

More pics and vids! I had to shave the E-tranny to accept the 17T pinion on there. I think I'm gonna bump it up to a 19T though, too much acceleration. Instead of pulling a wheelie, it spins the tires!

She loves it! I gotta boil the old rims and mount the tires on the new ones. It's just something I gotta do and she was really excited about the BL setup, especially since it was "so pretty and purple" haha.

That did turn out really good, and went together really quick. The speed looks about the same as the Hvmaxx, but the truck is much more nimble compared to an Emaxx- good work man.

gtxracer what set up is that( esc and motor) and what is the receiver pack for? great job also

It's a Hacker C50 Maxx with their Master Car Sport controller. I picked it up for less than $100 used on another forum. Gotta keep your eye open for good deals! The Rx pack is for the controller - there is no built in BEC. I'd rather have it this way though, yes it's added weight, but that's really not an issue since it's just her toy. This thing *could* race and in that case I'd get a BEC and some LiPos, but since it's just for her, I'll save all the expensive stuff for me! :lol:

Might want to get some better batteries. Some IB 4200's will really bring it to life.

Thanks I'll keep that in mind. I think these 3000s might be saved for my crawler anyway, she needs more runtime.

Got my Intellipeak Twin today. Now I need to get those IB 4200s, possibly some LiPos.

i would just go with the 4200s since you have 2 nimh chargers. |
I bought the Duratrax since it was cheap and I knew I'd have some NiMh packs for a while. I plan to get a good LiPo charger when I get some LiPos in the next couple months.

Yeah so far I love the Hyperion 1210i charger, I'm charging Apogee 2s & 3s 5800mah Li-Mn packs and it does fantastic, easy to use and very informative.

I personally like the E-Station 902 more than the 12010. Its got almost the exact same specs but a few more features.

Had a little 10 minute bash session with PinkVo. That was full speed runs, back and forth down a parking lot. Started in first gear, then shifted to second every time. This thing is FAST. I need to have it clocked, it's got to be around 40 MPH. I still think I could easily bump up a pinion or two and still have good acceleration. For bashing, the 17T is perfect and cogging is almost non-existent. I'd like to throw on those higher pinions and get some speed runs in with better batts. Here's some temps after the run and a pic. Let me know what you guys think of the readings.

Hmm, motor is cooler than esc, so sounds abit under geared- could/should be able to gear up a tad bit further in theory. Still, those temps sound pretty decent, but it looks like something took a dump on it (what is that brown dribble?...).

Mud. Dunno how it got there but it came back from one of the passes with it on the lid. Yeah, I figured I needed to gear up.

Actually, since the motor is cooler than the esc it would be overgeared.

Actually, the motor ISN'T cooler than the ESC and the tires break loose instantly, so I'd say it's under-geared. You guys are also confusing me since you both said the opposite of what I posted, haha.

I am in so much trouble....
I just took PinkVo out for another run and ended up breaking the shock mount on one of the front arms, broke the antennae tube, and the gunmetal gray is flaking off the body!
