dont think we needed to know all that.
oh and on the next, I would hope it would be an electric MT. I really dont need one but I think it would be a good sign of things to come for us.

Hickoryhead 10.17.2007 06:41 AM

 You all sound like 10 year olds standing in line to sit on Santas lap comparing notes on what to ask for. There is always one kid (Squeeforever) that tries to convince every one else that Santa’s a fake. Yet he is standing in line too.

Don't get your hopes up Linc. You don't get to sit on his lap yet.

Every one thinks water droplets. Maybe they are sweat beads? Something that can scream down the road. Or work hard? My "RC Christmas" is so long it will be awhile before I get what ever it is.

For the record, I thought of sweat beads as well, ie an overpowered BL system throwing off tons of heat and cooking the car.

I'm not sure if this("Next") is it, but I was told by one of my fellow racers who got a little inside info from one of the Traxxas guys that a Brushless Revo is not only in the works, but pretty much ready for production. We'll find out in about.................22 more hours.

JThiessen 10.17.2007 01:06 PM

Well, IF it is, then I think I will purchase my first brand new RC.

steve slayden said the same thing to jeremy from (Bomb proof products), last year at monster madness. So we will have to wait & see.

jhautz 10.17.2007 02:59 PM

Anyone happen to notice that the count down timer ends at the same time the iHobby show starts! I'm guessing anyone going to iHobby will get to see whats "NEXT" in person.:yipi:

Thats very smart marketing on there part. Tying together the relaese of a new product & the biggest trade show of the year together.

JThiessen 10.17.2007 03:23 PM

Hey, here's more to chew on....so we've all been waiting paitiently for the Monster Mamba Max system. Maybe Traxxas got together with them and..........Nah......just a wet dream!

Thats not gonna happen I don't think. If so, they would have MM's in the VXL's. I really wish CC would keep there trap shut and take some lessons from Traxxas.

Ninmaxx 10.17.2007 06:56 PM

Yeah I like how Traxxas comes out with their products IMO I think it is going to be a MT, I really hope it is.

If it is they will sell a lot of them.

jnev 10.17.2007 07:59 PM

16 hours left.

nl12 10.17.2007 08:34 PM

If it is a mt it better be better than the g3r if I am going to buy it.

You had better be right. I'm starting to get excited now.

BrianG 10.17.2007 09:18 PM

Even if it IS a BL Revo, it probably won't be built to the power levels we all are used to. I doubt it will be as good as the G3R and still be priced at an affordable point for most people.

jhautz 10.17.2007 09:24 PM

The only thing I could really see really NEEDING upgrade on the revo would be the diffs. Other than that.... the rest of the drivetrain is pretty solid. Hopefully they design an upgraded BL worthy tranny for it also and dump the stupid manual 2 speed like in the emaxx. Thats assuming that a revo is whats "Next"

jhautz 10.17.2007 09:26 PM

If it is a BL Revo those guys who are selling Revo conversion kits are gonna be pissed. Especially Tekno RC who is just now trying to launch a pretty nice looking (IMO) conversion kit.

Yeah, that would suck, but "them are the breaks"!

Still, there is something to be said for taking something and modifying it to suit YOUR goals. A sense of accomplishment and having something no one else does. Stock is just boring IMO.

jhautz 10.17.2007 09:38 PM

I agree totally. I cant remember buying something stock and even running it once before modifying something. If they just made the stock trucks better I wouldn't have to spend so much time modifying them. Of course... I probably would loose interest in the hobby if there was no mod work to be done. Thats my favorite part.:mdr:

BrianG 10.17.2007 09:47 PM

I think Traxxas should offer kit or roller versions of their trucks to satisfy all the modders out there.

jhautz 10.17.2007 09:49 PM

I doubt that will ever happen. Traxxas is THE rtr company. They originated it. I seriuosly doubt they will abandon their roots.

BrianG 10.17.2007 09:50 PM

I know, but since we are hoping for a BL Revo, why not wish for the gold. While we're dreaming, we should wish for the MMM since THAT dream is about as far-fetched as it gets....

jhautz 10.17.2007 09:55 PM

The MMM dream is actually becoming more of a nightmare.

Back to the real topic though. I am really hoping its something cool. A boat would SOOOOO disapointing. I never understood why they havent come out with a stock big block version of the revo. Seems natural. All of the other MT makers are already there.

But being that this is an electric forum, I would also be very disapointed with a repolished Emaxx.

Nothing short of an E-Revo will do anymore. You guys have built it up in my head now.

mkrusedc 10.17.2007 09:58 PM

Has anyone notice that those are Jato colors?

BlackedOutREVO 10.17.2007 10:17 PM

Well in school tomorrow I think I will go check and see what it is lol

We all have to remember that they used to offer kits way before they originated the RTR craze. There is still hope...

My first thought as well. Also makes perfect sense since the Velineon could power it, and it would be an easy conversion/re-engineer.

BrianG 10.17.2007 11:06 PM

Yeah, but then the e-Jato would compete directly against the Rustler both being 2wd and all. If it's a vehicle, I'd say a 4WD truck of some kind, maybe a smaller size than an Emaxx.

They still offer the Nitro Rustler, even though it's 2wd.

They appeal to different sgments of the market. The Jato (whether E or gas) can be the step-up vehicle from the Rustler (whether E or gas) while keeping them in the Traxxas family.

I dont think so, there will still be a market just not as big for the guys that have a nitro revo & want to convert without buying a another truck.

squeeforever 10.18.2007 12:37 AM

I don't see how its Jato colors. All the Traxxas bodies are pretty much the same basic design and same colors available, if I'm not mistaken.

BP-Revo 10.18.2007 01:09 AM

Well, as for Traxxas teaming up with Castle on the MMM, I doubt it just cause I doubt it.

However, it is not COMPLETELY impossible since apparently Traxxas no longer has a contract with Novak, as the EVX is now the EVX-2, made by Traxxas and not Novak.

If the new product is really a Brushless Revo (or an electric Revo) I will be very impressed, and will consider buying one. I need to get my T-Maxx and 18T sold first though, as I have too many trucks.

Personally, I think the water has something to do with a vehicle that can withstand being run in a wet environment. Since this would be rather difficult for a Nitro vehicle (hard to keep engine temps consistent, hard to keep the motor from sucking in too much water, hard to get brakes working consistently when damp, etc) I'd say its electric. I say this from personal experience because when I drove my Revo 2.5R through some wet grass, my brakes were HORRIBLE until it heated up enough to evaporate all the water.

Dafni 10.18.2007 03:05 AM

New pre-painted bodies???

miniGranis 10.18.2007 03:19 AM

Now I got negative figures on the countdown :-( Buhhuu
