Direction.

Come on guys lets not go off in another direction again:lol:. CC will work this out on their own in house so they can keep everything in their court. If it delays the release so be it. This is their problem and they have to finish what they started. Be patient and lets stop being so hard on them. None of us wants to wait, but that is just the nature of the beast. At least they are nearly ready to release 2500 units, which is great for us:yes:. From my view at least they will not run out of MMM's within a few days, and everyone who wants one should be able to get their hands on one:yes:. I am willing to bet that some of us will buy two of them right off the bat, because we know it will be worth it. Delivery time is nearly here.:yipi::party:

I would second that motion.

Perhaps a RC-Monster special edition with heatshrink.

On RCGroups, Patrick said part of the delay was that they wanted the esc to run with RTR AM radio's and no interference. I wish they had said this first off, but its nice to know everyone will be able to run it without upgrades (at least not radio upgrades).

I would never recommend anyone using a AM radio with so much power. Castle should make that a must. My truck on 6S will run out of range in a heart beat and if a kid gets carried away who knows what might happen. I had my MBX5T loose signal 2 times and good thing for the curb.

RBMike 03.24.2008 04:07 PM

They probably want it to work with an RTR radio so that they can "partner" with one of the car companies & make a E-RTR 1/8th.

JERRY2KONE 03.24.2008 04:10 PM

Ouch.

Ouch curbs can hurt. Hope your truck was not too badly broken. Still you are correct. If you are going to play with the kind of power that we expect from the MMM then you should have a better than RTR radio in hand to use it. I would think before long everyone will be running with synthisized computer radios with proprietory controls for the lack of signal loss. Of course it would be nice if the cost of those radios would come down some for the average R/C enthusiest.

They just try to hit the largest number of customer possible, The sidewinder is a good example

Truck is OK :yipi:. It's my MBX5T. Just a couple bent aluminum parts and a broken bottom arm mount and draglink. When and if my controllers gets done, I will only use Spektrum or other high quality radios, but no AM.

BrianG 03.24.2008 05:23 PM

Bundling AM radios with the RTRs is good for replacement parts sales.

Tower Hobbies & most other stores had the Sidewinder ESC on their site for back order about 2 months before it was availiable at stores and yet no-one has even a part number for the new MMM esc. Still might be a while away yet :oh:

entjoles 03.24.2008 10:13 PM

i will still wait, it is just what i need

DRIFT_BUGGY 03.24.2008 10:29 PM

Castle Creations The Monster Max is pretty much complete, just waiting on cases. Right now its pretty much out of our hands, we were supposed to have production samples of the cases a month ago. Unfortunately we still havent seen them.

DRIFT_BUGGY 03.25.2008 12:27 AM

So do you still run the BEC when this ESC?
