if you want crazy power, go for the Kb8xl, but be prepare to pull some crazy amps..... it's not too hot for this motor.. if you want some powerful.. go for the 11XL or 12XL.. it's already plenty for the savage... :)

It would make things on my end much easier. Should I run my kb45 8xl on 5 or 6s? anybody have any suggestions?

|
You guys watch Peter Zichas dyno pull with the kb? I cant wait to see this thing rip!
|
Aqwut what is the amp draw on that KB45 8XL on 6S??? Any guesses....I need a good basher motor for an Emaxx of mine.
|
on my MGT.. about 86 Amps with my gearing... geared for 48MPH with 6S...
I hold the truck on cement and give full throttle.. it pulled less than 90 Amps... 52 Spur, 18 Pinion... 6S 3700 25C.... |
That's not bad at all. I bet an 8XL will pull as much as that.

I just installed a kb45-10l in my 1/5th baja and it has great power. I was running a wanderer 9xl on 6s2p 123 with 20/66 32 pitch gears and it moved pretty good. I am running 30/72 gearing with the kb with the same batts and it is VERY powerful. I could not imagine the xl version.

I am going to keep trying to use my 7XL for bashing for now. If it continues to get hot I'm going with something different. Probably a KB45 then...
