sweet!!

That's good news!
Get some Ti bones made, too! |
On these revo conversions. If you run a 7xl and other big motors. Does the drive train hold up well? I don't have revo. I was wondering if it is strong or not.
My Revos' driveline is doing fine. I run the Titanium center bones from Mike, the rest is stock. Well, I put in alu diff cups, but just to make sure. The stock sliders are very good, even the jokes look like new on mine.
I just didn't want to get it pack the power on it and bam. There goes parts flying out of it. I have noticed more and more options and upgrades coming out for the revo. I have a start on a revo. I have some chrome plated shocks. :)
my revo is still stock, and it takes more abuse than the EMaxx ever could. I'm watching this thread closely! I do need a new steering servo though.
I run a motor similar to Dafni's and my stock Revo drive train, including revo tranny, has held up very well. The only issue I've had is a couple munched front diff's. The aluminum diff cups Dafni suggested should help.

Gonna throw in my 7XL also, so you guys say the drivetrain should handle it? The great thing about this conversion is that I can still use all of my expensive maxx parts like my transmission. Can I use my same center shafts? |
I got the maxx sliders to work with a little modification but they twisted from the massive torque. The revo sliders work great so I'd suggest using them or upgrading to metal dogbones or cvd's.
Yeah I have MIP center CVDs I was just wondering if they were the correct length for the chassis?
How much for the conversion if you already have a GMAXX ?.
I will work on getting some bones made to fit the conversion. The front is 85mm. The rear is approx. 102mm (measurements are bone to bone) with the spur gear facing the rear of the truck. The sizes change slightly running the tranny the other way.
If you already have a g-maxx, you would need everything except the chassis braces, so about $70 less than the whole kit. |
So the lower center plate will be different, now?
any idea of when they will be released? and what is the difference in the v1 and v2? if its that much better i might wait.
I would guess the release would be in about a month. There will only be one version. The v2 is the second prototype. The final release will be the result of the prototype testing and development.
