Sylvester 09.01.2005 08:54 PM

a good spray would be WD-40 for the chassis and other realated parts, hmm this might get interesting :-)

coolhandcountry 09.01.2005 09:54 PM

If you going to go all out gmaxx with all aluminum. It is a lot cheaper to do the savage. JMO

toby 09.02.2005 08:10 AM

i am looking on ebay to find a BL set up (the motor mount and battery tray

toby 09.02.2005 08:34 AM

how do the batteries get held in,??

why did you puit that skid pklate which looks like a tmaxx chassis?

toby 09.02.2005 11:21 AM

i dug into the savage today, it is a confusing vehicle IMO, i went to take the rea skid off and the whole rear end fell apart. luckily i was already organizing screw so i know where they go. there is one plate that fell out and i am not sure where it goes. i found out that it is a DOGBONE driveshaft, stock servo and really dirty. I wanna think of a colour scheme and i think it might just be chrome coloured. If i can find dimensions for the battery tray and motor plate i found someone who can make it.

So far i need to sell Motor, carb, airfilter, brand new skids (front rear and back, purple) Possible my Blue TVP, and fuel tank/mounts, glow plug igniter/charger,roto start, RS battery/charger, i think that is all for now

Serum 09.02.2005 03:42 PM

there are quite a few options on the batterieholders. The nicest are the low CG types i made. they fit the lowest holes on the TVP's..

The dogbones being silver, means they are the heavy duty type. That plate that fell out, is it aluminum?

And would you please be so kind to use the edit button Toby? one post is enough, and you could combine the three posts you did.. I know your enthusiastic, but would you please use the edit button?

toby 09.02.2005 04:05 PM

they were black dogbones, it was an aluminum plate, by the motor. I found someone to make my battery holders and motor mount but do not know dimensions or anything. I am gunna keep my tvp and just "de-anodize) them, save me some money right now.

SOrry about making so many posts. can you maybe give me the dimesions of the plates and battery holders?

I hung a photo of your truck in my shed where i work too. I need to know what is included when you sell a motor, is it the engine and carb?

Serum 09.02.2005 04:26 PM

Yeah, you can sell the motor, clutch, clutchbell, carb, exhaust and tank..

You can do the measurements yourself! just measure the inside width of the the vertical plates, its 75 mm, the distance between the M3 holes of the motor are 25 mm (heart/heart)

I need to measure them too, and you use other TVP's, i am not sure if they are 100% identical to the tvp's i've got.. Please do the measurements yourself, the batterie holders only use 2 or three screws, depending if you mount them high or low.

Just do it..! ®

mothman 09.02.2005 04:26 PM

Ye toby i would like to know about the dimension of the motor mount too.

toby 09.02.2005 04:33 PM

Dear Serum,

I can do the battery trays By My Self, i do not know how tall or anything the motorplate needs to be or where the holes need to be or any of that. That is why i might be annoying to you but really i have no idea what i am suppose to do. Do you need special TVP to do this project? I do not even have a GP3300 or bigger in my house so i do not even know how wide to make it. I do not have the motor or speed control, i do not know where to mount the control.

I have NO idea how the batteries stay still or even how to make a pack. i am learning all these things and am willing to make the parts myself and i would like some help on it. I saw plans for a motorplate in another thread, would that one work good or not? I am 14 years old and do not have 200 dollars to get something and it not work right.

I am just curious and would like some help and dimension. do i use aluminum or cast iron, or another type of steal? I have no idea what to do that is why i am asking so many questions

Serum 09.02.2005 04:42 PM

Sorry Toby, i understand your situation, you are not irritating me, please don't get me wrong!

But i could draw a motorplate, BUT.. it's a emachineshop file, and they

Wait up.. I am going to draw right away..

Rcbros 09.02.2005 04:49 PM

Are you using emachineshop?

toby 09.02.2005 04:50 PM
