Yeah, it makes Hacker or any other brand look weak considering that.
However, the bearings of the Feigao motors need some care or be changed to ceramics.
And even after you bought some good bearings, they still are cheap..!
My bigmaxximum had play on the shaft after about only 2-3 hours of fun.. It's easy to say that you used better bearings.. Did anyone here ever changed the bearings on his Feigao? |
My brother had to change out bearings in his fiegao. He knocked the motor apart and that is what we think messed the bearings up. He has put a motor clamp (from mike of course) on it.
Okay, it was not because of the usual wear..
Nope. The end was lopsided. Put extra stress on bearing. I have no problems with any of the one i had. We even ran eighteen cells on that 8l after the bearing replacement. Still going strong today. What a motor.
Whatever.
??? what whatever ???
you state that the bearings need to some care or need to be replaced.. in my opinion that is not the case.. and my 'highend' plettenberg needed his bearings changed too.... |
I didn't say that the highend motors dont need any maintenance. I too found that my 480-42 motor needed some cleaning after every couple of bashing or racing. There is a difference between things that are made with extreme precision and sold for high prices and things that are made from economic materials and sold for humble prices. I'm not saying that the Feigaos are bad. No. Not at all and they've already proven themselves as highly competitive motors sold for very acceptable prices. There is no need for you to reply in such a wonderous way just because I stated my own concept of the Feigaos and the other motors. I'm not ready to spar at all. HEHE.
well, i simple didn't liked your 'whatever' i need a whole story to make a proper conclusion.. not just a statement.
I'm sorry if I pissed you off. Secondly, what do you mean by " I need a whole story to make a conclusion..not just a statement."?!
What about the BK Wanderer series motors such as the 20XL? I hear these have better bearings than the Feigao's and have very acceptable prices.
I want something that literaly needs zero maintenance( most people wants the same) and I thought by adding couple of ceramics you might be able to decrease the maintenance rate more than usual.
Yeah, those wanderers! the best is yet to come! they are working on the wanderers with segmented magnets!
@harlock, you did not pissed me off at all, i didn't liked the way you stated that 'whatever' part. It's cool.. what i meant with the whole story vs statement thing; you said; However, the bearings of the Feigao motors need some care or be changed to ceramics.. That's where i would like to know if you did experienced this or got it from 2nd hand, and what the story is behind this theory.. Get it? Not hard feeling at all, like i said, i was not pissed off at all.. |
I just read about some people who needed to change their bearings which belong in the Feigaos, because they suffered some damage and so I thought that it might be possible that the bearings are of low quality, but ofcourse you can change them whenever you want.
