Neu's have a 60,000 rpm limit. Does anyone know how many the CC/Neu's will be?

Well you better let Patrick del Castillo - the President and Principle Engineer of Castle Creations - know. He would probably be upset to find out they changed the plans behind his back. Link.

If you can open the motor you can always replace the bearings with some choice ones from Boca. It may cost you a bit, however, but it could be done.

It seems that the motors/combos might be a very long time until they get on the market..... first they where on Towerhobbis with a ETA that said August..... then it was early September, now it is mid October. My guess is that we should be happy if the combo is availible this year considering all the delivery problems with the MMM. By that i mean really availible, not pre-orders and such, i mean "in stock".... but i am definitly getting one, but not untill i am sure i dont have to wait a very long time like on the MMM:s. I just got my MMM V2 and i have to say..... the best controller i have ever had, so smooth! and a ton of power! I just keep my fingers crossed that there wount be any problems with it like there was on the V1.

I'd expect them to for the large price premium they carry. I think the CC Neu will perform very well and provide a good value for money when it comes out, similar to the Medusa motors.

Metallover 08.16.2008 02:22 PM

Medusas are just as good as neus.
http://www.flyupyours.com/heli/dpr/neuvsmedusa4s.htm

The only thing the cc/neu motors would have on medusas would be size.

I'm sure they will be a great value for the money. We'll just have to see how good they are when the come out.

RBMike 08.16.2008 02:51 PM

Well I like the fact that the CC/neu will have bigger bearings and removable ends. My Medusa 36-60-2K is lighter than my Neu. The Medusa is working very well & was almost exacty 1/2 the price. Mesuda will release a 2200Kv 36-60 soon. If it comes before the cc/neu I will probably get it instead.

BrianG 08.16.2008 03:04 PM

I would think a 70mm Medusa would be a better comparison to Neu power-wise.

SpEEdyBL 08.16.2008 03:39 PM

I would like to see a 3000 kv 60 or 70 mm medusa motor, just so i wouldn't need to use a 20 tooth pinion gear to get the speeds I want with 4s. The novak hv4.5 is just about right speed with a 9 tooth pinion gear, but that is too small. 12-16 tooth pinion gears seem to be about the right size - not too heavy and not oddly shaped.

e-mike 08.16.2008 04:22 PM

Well, I can tell you:

Materials: Source:

Bearings Japan (Koyo - CNC grade, 100K RPM rated)
Laminations M19 non-oriented magnetic steel Japan
Magnets Same as Neu - China
Shaft material Stainless - USA
Case T6061 - China

So sorry, no cheap a$$ materials here.

The CC/Neu motors will meet or exceed the performance of the Neu 1515.

tc3_racer_001 08.16.2008 08:14 PM

again will you sell them seperately? id happily buy the 1512 2d :D

Arct1k 08.16.2008 08:44 PM

I'm sure they will in time but like MM combo priority will be to sell as a combo to start with to help ship the MMM's...
