I'm running my 9XL on 6s 2p A123 at the moment and it seems OK -It is getting hot but I manageble with HS and fans.

I would start with 9XL or look at 10XL if you havn't ordered the motor yet - I woudn't buy both as you would be better off buying a better motor from the outset.

I concur. The 10xl on 4s or 5s would run cooler and still give great power and speed, geared correctly. Starting to wish I had ordered the 10xl clone now, but never mind.

Hardstyle 08.22.2008 01:24 PM

Sorry for not posting here a while.. Haven't been around, was in vacation in Lapland. But the order is now on its way here, should get em for next week (fingers crossed). Mike is quite fast on shipping..

Anyways have a question about the bk 12020 esc's wires (motor and battery wires). How long should them be? And how much I can cut em or should I at all?

suicideneil 09.23.2008 05:01 PM

The general feeling is, the shorter the wires, the better basically- less voltage drop and/or resistance. Shorter wires also make for a cleaner install too.

Hardstyle 09.24.2008 05:18 AM

Ok, thanks. I thought that too..

I have been thinking about the esc placement and I notice that it will fit with little modification under the rear axle.
Got some pics about it. Just if it start to burn, its nearly impossible to get it out of there . What do you guys think?

Nah - To close to moving parts and dirt IMO

Hardstyle 09.24.2008 07:41 AM

Yea, the output is touching to the heat sink. Thought dremelling it, but have to think something else. It takes quite space, because it has wires on both ends..

Hardstyle 09.24.2008 12:38 PM

Made something up.. It isnt pretty  but with zip ties it will do the job, I think..

Is there anykind of wheelie bar for g2r? Will the traxxas Erevo bar fit? I mean this http://www.traxxas.com/products/elec...ccessories.htm

suicideneil 09.25.2008 02:39 PM

If you run the stock rear bumper, then the traxxas wheelie bar will fit fine. There are also a few available from places like Integy and Hotracing- try ebay.

Hardstyle 09.25.2008 04:06 PM

Ok, Ty. I have the stock bumber. Gotta look those Integys too..

It seems that the post has attempt the delivery, but unfortunately nobody was home. Dang Mike is fast shipper :surprised: Just five days ago stuffs were in the US.
I'll try to post some pics tomorrow from the stuffs  if anybody is interested
