AE would of been the last I would of guessed that would bring something like this out. Losi & Kyosho need to look at building one off there buggy chassis
|
Hey Guys, so this is a truggy chassis guys. look at the spacing behind the motor, its truggy sized not buggy sized...
|
Loving the all black one
Definately decided on converting this over the Slayer . Damn i just sold my RC8 and RCM conversion last week , should of kept the motor mount for this . Oh well another order going in to Mike :mdr: Looking closely at the roll cage doesn't look like there are any welds , think it's plastic . Also it's hard to tell by the pic but it doesn't look like there is much room for a battery tray . |

Just hope it's not like AEs normal releases , might not see this in the stores till next year :sarcastic:
It would be fantastic if a new class would start with these corr trucks , i can see the other bigwigs releasing these as well . Finally a realistic looking off road race machine  |
Amain now have them listed on their site
Due - October 1st and for $699.99 RTR http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/27733 http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/27731 http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/27734 http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/27732 http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/27730 This is something that many R/C drivers have only dreamed about, and Team Associated is proud to bring to you the SC8, the first 1:8 scale, nitro 4WD offroad, authentic race truck replicas. Each SC8 comes decked out with one of four fully licensed race truck bodies, wheels and tires, designed to look just like the full size race trucks that run in short course off road series around the country. The world of high-performance R/C has never before seen this level of scale accuracy! Starting with the championship winning RC8T truggy platform, the SC8 was designed to meet the scale specifications of the full size short course race trucks. It’s all there, from the scale suspension travel, to the roll-cage tube diameter, to the functional mud flaps. The result is the SC8, a creation of an unparalleled scale experience at a level of performance that has never been seen before in true scale. Underneath the beautifully finished body, roll cage and wheels, beats the heart of a RC8T. The SC8 shares many of the same parts, components, and performance with the RC8T. The SC8 comes fully assembled and ready to go. Team Associated’s Pro.28 engine and XP3D Computerized Digital FM Radio system are factory installed. The differentials and shocks come filled with the proper silicone fluids making it faster and easier than ever to get Team Associated SC8 performance out of the box and into the dirt! When the designers created the SC8, they knew they had made something very special. Although there may not be a title for the SC8 to compete for upon its release, what Team Associated has seen is how the SC8 instantly wins over the hearts and captures the imaginations of all the people who have seen it, including the world’s hardest critics, us. And this is how the designers have the confidence to say that the SC8 is another champion by design. Features Authentic, custom painted and finished scale licensed short course truck body Mounted and assembled scale wheels & tires with foam inserts and bead guards Functional full roll cage with integral dirt shields XP3D Computerized Digital 3-Channel FM Radio System with 10 model memory Powerful Pro.28 engine with slide carburetor and dual stage air filter Pro-Start hand held starting system S2008 metal gear high-torque steering servo Hard-anodized shock bodies, 4mm shock shafts, and protective rubber boots Hard-anodized 3mm thick 7075 aluminum chassis Team Associated 2-chamber tuned muffler 3mm low-profile black anodized aluminum shock towers 3mm black anodized aluminum steering rack with ball-bearing steering system Sealed radio box with thread-through molded antenna mount Fuel bottle and glow igniter included |
Damn , i'm s over these RTR vehicles , at least release this as a roller .
I know it brings beginners into the hobby , but i remember when i first started how much fun it was to build a kit from scratch , that was half the fun . Just recently putting the X2 together i had the same fun and i am looking forward to putting the D8 together when it arrives . |
Just checked and TH has is listed as well for back order , same price as A Main and showing mid October for release .

Since it's based on the truggy i'm sure the AE corr body will fit my X2 and most other truggys and with some mods probably the roll cage too.Wheels should have 17mm hexes so that's a straight swap .
Wondering if they are running shorter arms though , maybe they have the buggy arms on the truggy chassis. It might also be a pita to change batteries with that cage . |
There are at least $100 overpriced but not doubt they will still sell. E-Slayer is around the $469 mark off the top of my head, they will turn out to be much more popular

Pic of the RC8s with the real Corr drivers they are modeled after.

I like the idea, the price is kinda high, and its a pain to sell all the nitro parts. Are these buggy size wheels or truggy size wheels, they look nice but some badlands would be sweet, or some paddles?
