Or maybe you plan to send it to that guy (Team Petit'yo) that make custom BL motor out of stock motors ?

If I could do it in the US then shipping wouldn't be so much. That's why I said that. Yes, I was and might send the motor to Team Petit'yo only if Novak won't do it.

I know it cost me around 35 $ to send my dead MMM to castle creation (0.5 Kg ...)

We wouldn't need your motor, we would just start from scratch and wind a new stator to order. If you want to return your existing motor, we can replace/exchange it according to our service options program.

Ok, but I need to be 100% sure Novak can do the HV1.5 and if Novak can, what do I need to do to send my motor back? Do I need to send a special note saying, "Crazy guy wants a HV1.5 for a crazy job".

Edit: Would 0.5 a turn be possible? What would be the Kv for it? Can the rotor be wrapped in Kevlar to withstand the high RPMs?

We can't do a 1.5T motor. It would probably require a wire gauge that we do not stock. We could do a 2.5T.

You can PM me your contact information, and CC number (which will not be billed until we ship.) Once we have this info, I can create an order for your motor. I'll check with Steve to see @ how long it would take.

Unless you also want to exchange your HV motor for one of our standard RMF HV winds, you do not need to send it back.

snellemin 09.10.2008 06:51 PM

Hmmm this is interesting. So what KV would the 2.5T be?

We can only check the kv after we do the wind. The HV rotor is sintered---the same high temperature, rare earth materials we use in our tuning rotors. Wrapping the rotors in Kevlar and epoxy-coating them is a time-consuming mess--so no wrapping.

Steve said it would take a week, or so.

As soon as we build Lutach's motor, we'll let you know.....

Bob is checking to see what we could do. I'll let you know. What esc are you planning to use?
-------

Bob said we could do 2.5 or 3.5 to be used with 2s lipos, only, and no warranty. Why not just use a Nue motor for a SL controller?

I'll be using a 200A ESC that's custom made for this record attempt. I would love to have a 1.5T, but if that won't be possible I guess the 2.5T will do. What is your e-mail address NovakTwo?

Sounds good. If the 1.5T can be done as well, I'll take one too. Let me know if Bob can do a special price for me as he'll be credited for any records that will follow. If not, I will not be giving credits away. As of now there are only a couple of companies that will be getting credit and Kong Power will be one of them for providing me with their 2S 5000mAh 25C lipos.

NovakTwo 09.10.2008 07:44 PM

Just PM me here, with all the info above.

Sounds good. Ask Bob to make an exception and make a 1.5T for this occasion.

You are going to need more than 5000 mah 25c batteries if a 1.5 turn hv motor is going to be any use at all. I would recommend at least two of those in parallel. My hv 4.5 already taxed my maxamps 5000 mah batteries and a I imagine a 1.5 turn would have the capability of drawing three or four times as much current even with only 2s, compared to a 4.5 turn on 4s.
