From a German tester, who tests pretty much of all the BK stuff, i understood the XL was the same in torque and power than the 1950. Or do you mean that you personally would take a 1940 or the wanderer XL, because of it's overall preformance/temps?
I really didn't knew the 1950 came with a 5mm shaft. the BK site tells us it comes with a 4 and the other 19 series are available with a 4 as well. |
I can confirm the 5mm shaft on the 1950. But I was surprised when I got, thought it would have a 4mm shaft.
that is pretty cool imo!!!
A 4mm shaft might be a pita to find mod1 pinions for.. |
It is not hard at all serum. You are at a good place to get them. I am surprised at the 5mm shaft on the 1950. I have a 1930 and would compare it to a feigao or bk L version even though it is a smaller motor. My lehner 1930 seems to run cooler and more efficent as well. I guess the higher tolerances and quality of materials equals a kick butt motor IMO. :D

I got a setup
I got a setup but now my truck cannot handle this power. i bought the hv 4.5. its fast enough for me but the amount of tourqe keeps killing my diffs. what kind can i buy or should i buy without killing my wallet. Also my center shafts keep falling apart. there mip cvd's. my diffs are robinson racing with stock spider gears and integy diff cases. my bearings keep burning up also. i need help and recomendations please.
How about RC-Monster dog bones for center shafts and Maximizer 7075 aluminum diff cup, modified gear and 3 mm screws?
I have the aluminum cups and the 3mm screw setup. I destroy the pinion and the spider gears inside the diff. im running the truck in 2wd. Do i just have to much power to the rear of the truck?
I also put the robinson diff gears in the truck. DESTROYED!
Sounds like you need to upgrade to 1/8 diffs/
Yep, FLM hybrids & 1/8 HB diffs, RCM center dogbones. Thats about the only way to go really- only UE offers another option with their 1/8 diffs, but they are way expensive & never in stock. Nice truck BTW.
Which 1/8th diffs? They don't make 1/10th scale strong diffs for my truck? Should i just run it 4wd? let me know what you guys think. Thankyou for the complement. my truck has a seperate electrical system for the custom light kit i designed.

Heres more pics for you guys. I appreciate the help.
That's a nice truck man.
Hot bodies 1/8 buggy diffs- they are sold in the RCM store, and fit inside the FLM hybrid bulkheads. No-one makes aftermarket 1/10 diffs for the maxx, just a few alloy cups and ring gears with 3mm screws. If its the spider gears that keep failing on you though, thats no help, so 1/8 diffs is the only way to go.

Thanks for your help suicideneil! greatly appreciated. Im gonna open up the truck again on saturday and see what broke this time.
