To go fast of course. A 9000Kv motor on 2S will require tremendous power to propel the TT-01 to high speeds. The stock spur is not 55, and how did you manage to fit in a 25T pinion with the stock motor mount? I remember I was pressed for clearance when fitting a 22T with the 55T spur.

You can get a 55t spur for the tt-01. The same set of mount holes for the 22/58 fit the 25/55, as the spur is smaller in diamter.

I will stick with the hacker b50 5s (7400kv) on 3s lipo to do my session of runs. Getting cooler out here and everything runs faster in cold weather.

I'v been running my B50 5s with 3s1p in my pan car geared 54/12. Both mm and motor stay cool enough.

I wish I were back in Alpharetta to take advantage of the cool weather. I have to deal with ~90F temps all year long :(

Get a 9000KV, PULL its Rotor out, insert into a 7700KV's can, Now you get a robost 7700.

I believe the 9000's ROTOR is where it values, should has some special material and technique like Kevlar wrap and temp-resistant magnet.

Go with this and a 3s lipo pack :surprised: almost 100,000 RPMs.

lol, nice web page by Castle

Great for dragracing and speed records, but not much else. Meh.

emaxxnitro 11.19.2008 12:25 PM

if they can make a rotor stay together at that speed they should make a 2000kv 50volt motor

Don't the bearings have something to do with the maximum RPM of a motor? I can has magnetic bearings?

Maybe high grade ceramics? they can take considerably more punishment than a steel bearing.

Is that lipo or a123?

ReV:-O 11.19.2008 04:15 PM

when i first got into brushless, i bought the novak GTB 3.5R system for my hpi pro 4, and that motor could go up to like 10,500 and that was agessss ago

Forgot to mention that it is with A123. I'll build me a flat 4s1p A123 pack and see how that runs. That should be more like a 3s1p lipo pack under load.

But figure that under "drift mode" the rotor is spinning abit over 60K rpm.
