Actually, I envisioned the magnetic bond breaking until the next rev.

Could also act like a diff too. And no mechanical parts to wear out.

I was going to try this conversion next if my stockers ever let go...

Those dogbones are too long for use on the Slash.

Those slashes sound very nice. Which would you (mostly) be driving?

Eh, who knows. I guess it'll depend on which one looks better maybe. I think performance with either one of them will not be an issue.

With my Rustler, I use the steel outputs with Jato shafts and stock stub axles. I twist the pin holding the yoke onto the stubs every few months or so. Other than the occasional replacement stub it's a pretty nice setup.

Thanks for the info. That sounds like a much more reasonably priced setup than going to the FLM CVD's.

Hey guys, I just bought a slash and have an extra MMM. Would like to run it on 4 cells. What motor and gearing would be good???

I'd say either a Medusa 36-50-2200 or 36-60-2000. I'll be running my 36-60-2000 on 4S and will be geared 18:54 to start with. That should put it into the 43-46mph range, which should be a cakewalk for the 60mm motor in a 2wd vehicle.

I am looking for 65mph plus

Where did you get the 54t.....the factory is a 86t isnt it?

On the motor calculator with 31:86 I came up with a 2400 to 2700k motor

BrianG 12.07.2008 12:36 AM

Jato spurs fit. They're 32p so a little tougher.

plaviblue 12.07.2008 05:18 PM

What is 32p?

plaviblue 12.07.2008 05:37 PM

Will all the parts from a rustler rear end fit the slash?

BrianG 12.07.2008 08:20 PM

32p = 32 pitch, which is equal to the Mod0.8 pitch Traxxas uses for the Jato gears. Revo uses Mod1.0, etc
