Undergeared.

Anyway, I installed the Castle 2200Kv motor on my ST RR. I still have to run it though. Weather had been crappy lately and it looks like it going to continue raining through the weekend.

I think so Lito, just remember to give other people a chance to purchase their quality product aswell  Did you run the Neu in this truggy previously or did you go straight into running with the Medusa?

I ran the TeknoRC Neu, Medusa, and now will be running the Castle Neu. Between the TeknoRC and Medusa, I like the TeknoRC better. I'll post about the Castle Neu once I get a chance to run it. It's been raining for a week and the track is full of water.

In fact, I returned my TeknoRC Neu to Neumotors for repairs (bearings wer shot) and I just received a shipping notification yesterday :party::party:.

George16 : heh cool setup

Jason 03.01.2009 01:58 PM

since my KB36-7XL was dead ( overheating ) here is my new setup :

Motor : Neu 1515/1.5D/F 2700kv ( 5mm Shaft )
Speed : Mamba Max 1/0 ESC ( Bec Disabled )
Battery : TrueRC 14.8V 6400mAh 15C 4S2P ( 96A Cont. 128A Burst. )
Gearing : 50t Spur - 13 Pinion.

how do the runtime would be on this ? and all would run perfect and cooler no overheating problems ?

Jason: for a buggy, that would be fine; but in a truggy, might be geared a bit high - I'd try 12T pinion first (for 36.5mph)

lincpimp 03.02.2009 02:06 AM

That is a potent motor. In my erevo with that motor a pair of 4900 25c 2s lipos wired for 4s could barely keep up. I would go down to a 12t pinion. Your lipo will thank you.

George16 03.02.2009 03:41 AM

I agree with what was said. Right now, I'm geared at 50/14 but still have to run it though. I'm hopinghtis weekend will be better.

Jason 03.02.2009 12:40 PM

ok I dont have buy this Neu 2700kv I have Buyed one Neu 1515 2.5D 1700kv Motor I plan run it on TrueRC 4s 15c 6400mah and 50t spur & 17t pinion :

I would run it soon on bigger diameters tires badland MT so I will get 1 or 2mph more ...

how do you like this one ?

George16 03.08.2009 07:54 AM

Well, the weather is still not cooperating so I decided to go to the Japanese LHS and bought some more stuff for my ST RR. Kyosho parts is definitely cheaper here compared to Amain Hobbies.

Anyway, since I can't run the truggy, I decided to install the following hopups:

Top is Fioroni 7075T6 center diff mount and bottom is a pair of Fioroni 7075T6 .5 degree rear hub carriers:

Mounted on the truck:

Almost time to replace the CVD pin:

I'm at the US Navy base in Yokosuka which is about 40 miles south of Tokyo. Where are you located at? I usually go to Tam Tam by Route 16 in Sagamihara. I'll probably be going to Akihabara when the weather gets warmer a bit.

George16 04.09.2009 08:50 AM

Anyway, I received the Traxxas ESC mount and decided to install one of them on my truggy. I got the mounting plate idea from rootar. I had to move the battery plate half an inch forward to make room for the ESC. Here are some pics.
