That looks like it fits really well. Doesn't do much for keeping the motor together, but definitely keeps it clean inside.

Mike,
So its been about a month. Any idea when we will see some of these new heatsinks in stock? Also, what can you tell us about the whole front and rear covers? I am itching to buy from you, as I need a clamp and dont want to thrash my motor.
If it is going to be much longer I may just jump on the front cover and "L" size...
Thank You

Mike, any plans to make one for the KB45 motors? Thats probably the only reason I have yet to buy one...

RC-Monster Mike 03.02.2009 11:13 AM

The heatsinks are in progress - it takes a bit of time(and investment) to get extrusions done (2500 piece minimum order!). Hopefully they will be ready in a couple weeks.
No plans for a KB45 version at the moment, Squee. :)

Will you have covers available for the 36-50-3300?

BrianG 03.02.2009 11:55 AM

From previous conversations with Mike, I believe he will have covers for all 4 Medusa lengths (50, 60, 70, 80mm).

RC-Monster Mike 03.02.2009 12:36 PM

I will have lengths for all Medusa motors - our existing "s" size already fits the 50mm Medusa motors, and our "L" size fits the 60mm Medusa.
I could easily make a rear plate/cover to fit these heatsinks and cover the rear holes(replace the bar used currently as a rear support). :)

Mike that would be perfect! A rear cover combined w/the heat sink is just what the Dr. ordered and would fill 2 needs as well!:yipi:

I just need something to keep the dirt and crap out of it when it is mounted up to my Slash.

Could you also sell that part seperately? I must have 4-5 of your heatsinks and would like to use a l can model for the 60mm medusa...

I can surely sell the rear cover as a separate item . I will work on it this week. :)

News? Updates? ETA? Sorry to bug ya but I need one...

ZippyBasher 05.05.2009 05:10 PM

2 months later... and nothing. Whats up?

medusa'd maxx 06.09.2009 11:19 AM

I like my motors to breathe a bit so I glued (high temp contact adhesive) fine aluminium
fly screen to the back of the can - I can spray motor cleaner through the mesh to deal with fine dust that gets through it
