This is why I like the Castle Controlers, updated features via software FOR FREE!!!!!!!

Unsullied_Spy 05.08.2009 08:18 PM

Indeed. I just updated one of my ESCs and there are some nice features in there. I'm glad they were listening to us when we asked for these (there was a thread a while back about suggestions for future updates)!

I love the new features especially the ability to disable the annoying beep and the smoother start up.

I am really intrigued but the "Data Viewer" software. Does this mean the Mamba Max Pro will have a built in data logger or will there be an external data logger available for the existing Mamba Max and Monster Max ESC?

Thanks for doing exactly what you said you would. That adjustable auto lipo feature is what I've been waiting for. :D

first run with the new soft...less smooth,,or hesitation of the esc on startup,,,and when i climb a hill(little asphalt hill) the esc seem not understand that he will need more power at the trottle and beging to cog or hesitate...with the 1.20 software more smoother and i can climb the same hill and no cogging or hesitation the revo goes very slowly... stop and reclimb without this little issue...

my set-up

e-revo
18/68
6 cell lipo
3pm fasst
lpr tire
mmmv3-lowest timing-punch control 40% start power=low

this set-up was for my 2 test...soft 1.21 and 1.20

e-mike, bump the timing up. The Y turn motors love higher timing settings.

I just ran the new software with Linc and I freaked out at first. I grabbed the wrong pack and it was hitting the LVC. I swapped a pack out and everything was nice and smooth and good to go.
I got back home and tried some slow speed stuff, performed better than before thats for sure!

Good job guys.

i know that:yes: but why with the 1.20 soft run flawlessly at lowest timing and aven't a good result with the 1.21 ..also lowest timing????

lowest timing =less hot..no?

i will try today at low and normal....

Haven't tried the new sw yet, just loaded it p last night, but I noticed I had a Grapher program with it whats that all about?

lutach 05.09.2009 09:06 AM

I went to update my Castle ESCs and it only shows the V1.20 which I already have for the firmware and my Castle Link is V3.12. Is there a new Castle Link version I need to install?

F7Rider 05.09.2009 09:10 AM

The current version is 3.13

Just ran my Truck earlier
The startup routine is much smoother at low speed. wayy less stuttering, the ability to change the motor direction is a big plus also- no more switching bullets:)

e-mike 05.09.2009 05:30 PM

just tried to up the timing and nada same cogging or hesitation when i climb something....tried other mmm and motor same thing...even my mamba max do the same....and with the 1.20 its butter:whistle:

e-mike 05.09.2009 05:43 PM

i will keep the 1.21...just because a can disable the BEEEPP song...
