I thought the Badlands only not standard size truggy wheels, not half-ups or LPRs?

I run the Ezrun 150A in my ST-1 with the 3674SL 2350kv motor on 4s and its plenty fast. The 4465SL motor should be a monster. I have several Ezrun setups and really like them. I think you'll like your setup.

Just saw your post :)

Badlands are for monster truck rims but they can be stretched to fit truggy rims, such as the halfups/LPR's...

jsr 08.12.2009 06:17 PM

Really? That's awesome. I love the way badlands look but didn't know they could fit halfups/LPRs.
Is that true for other standard/MT size tire?

maxxdout 08.12.2009 06:42 PM

I'm not sure on that but I did find some pictures of other people using Badlands on half-ups, and I must say that it is one badass look!

Damn those look awesome. Do you know if any modifications are needed to the tire aside from stretching it? Does the bead need to but cut off to enlarge the inner diameter?

Thanks.

maxxdout 08.12.2009 09:21 PM

Well you can't use the stock foams that come with the badlands because they are not large enough for truggy rims, they will rip and callapse if you stretch them. I ordered some yellow Ofna truggy foams in the order with the wheels, tires, and body :D

jsr 08.13.2009 01:09 AM

Cool. Let me know how it turns out and if you have to do anything else to make them fit. I love the look of Badlands on Rulux halfups!

maxxdout 08.13.2009 11:24 AM

Will do :)

Package should arrive here next week(or this Saturday[small chance]). The AMain account is with my mom's email so I will have her forward me any AMain eMail's she gets :D And heck, I'll go change the email on AMain now :D

What do ya think?

jsr 08.20.2009 12:14 AM

DAYAMN!!! That looks amazing!!! I like the wheels being different colors and matching the body theme.

So how was installing the Badlands MTs onto half-ups? Any details I need to know? I'm planning on doing that. Simply looks badass!

Do you think yellow Ruluxs can be dyed orange?

maxxdout 08.20.2009 07:05 PM

Yellow can be dyed orange but make sure to keep a very very close eye on them because the orange dye soaks in quickly! The rims were supposed to be more orangey but I didnt pay close enough attention once again....

The badlands were HELL to get on the rims LOL. Took maybe 40 mins to get all 4 mounted and glued. But it was worth it, they look sweet :)

jsr 08.20.2009 09:15 PM

Cool. I wasn't sure if I needed to use red dye to end up with an orange wheel or something. So orange dye should work.

So, was getting the Badlands on the half-ups pretty much just a tiring task of trying to stretch the tires onto the wheels? Just want to make sure there's no cutting or modification needed.

Thanks.

Again, damn your truck looks nice!
