Not weird anymore,, I ran it with 1 battery and about 10 minutes it slowed way down so I let it sit after turning it off, DID NOT RECHARGE THE BATTERY.. It cooled down and I fired it right back up and it moved just like it had a full charge... The esc was going into protection from all the heat and shutting itself down. BLinking red light.. Why they mounted the motor almost on top of the esc i don't know but the 2 biggest heat sources the heat can't go away fast enough before boom it goes into thermal and shuts down..
SO I pulled the ESC away from the motor and reran and what do ya know, went past 10 minutes run time and lasted about 20 or so with tons of power on one lipo. I knew that was the problem so now I gotta figure out a total fix.. heatsink and fan on both units may do it or one fan on both. Gotta find a heatsink for the motor,, any ideas? Stock gearing it should not do this crap but if all I have to do is heatsink the motor or fan it so my kid can drive then Im good with it!

crt .5 rims with bowties. But it did this with stockers too!

The reason I was wondering tiresw is because if they are bigger it's like gearing up. A heatsink for any 28mm motor should work, but first I would gear down....

You could also mount a fan redneck style to cool the electronics... Cutting holes in the body will help too.

Yeah a fan would be nice,, just gotta find the right size!! And holes are already in the body all over the place as of today so it did help I'm sure!
