I think there is a Linksys adapter that either works or can be modded to work, but you really are best leaving it wired. Wireless is great for browsing the internet from your bed or couch but for gaming you need the speed and reliability of a wired connection.

Sull, your weather sucking ass down there? It sure is up here and I wanna go bashing more damnit... :whip:

 It was cloudy today but nothing bad, I sold my Nitro Rustler to my brother and he was out running it today (and broke it already, DOH!). Our BMX track is a great bashing spot and now that all the kiddies are back in school there are fewer targets, err obstacles is what I meant. Kinda a long drive for a bash though, and if you bring your bad weather down here I'm gonna be pissed, I want to drive my Mustang :diablo:

Yeeeeaaahhh, wireless = fail if you want gaming.

Freezebyte 10.22.2009 12:22 AM

We never did get together for bashing at our bash pit, whats wrong with us?

Unsullied_Spy 10.22.2009 12:40 AM

Nope, we didn't. I can fix up my rear dom and have the Baja running, working on my E-Rustler right now, and could possibly field another RC, but I really wanted to bring the Muggy up there. I suppose I could rig my MGM back in that puppy and have it running as well. If the weather doesn't suck in the next week or two I'm still down for a bash.

Check out monoprice.com for cheap cable. I got an Ethernet cable from there, it was really cheap and shipping was fast.

It is $3 for a 30', it's $4.43 for a 50', it's $6.60 for a 75', and it's $8 for a hundred footter.

KaztheMinotaur 10.25.2009 08:56 AM

Wow, that is cheap.

My son set up the Xbox Live account on the computer but he can't sign in on the console. It always wants him to create a new account. Where do you just sign in at?

Unsullied_Spy 11.02.2009 09:46 PM

There should be an option to retrieve a XBox Live GamerTag.

They don't have a previous account. You can only create XBox live accounts via your 360.

KaztheMinotaur 11.02.2009 11:40 PM

What was the account he created on the xbox live website then?

Oh, I thought you meant a microsoft passport account, never mind. You need to log into the Xbox 360 using the live account created on the PC and create a GOLD Xbox account using that.

KaztheMinotaur 11.03.2009 12:21 AM

What screen on the console do you do that on though?

How much is Xbox gold? What is the difference between that and silver?

Wild YFZ 450 11.03.2009 01:32 AM

Silver- Can't do anything besides log on and talk to friends..no playing online games.
Gold- Can actually play Xbox live Multiplayer games... 1 year is 40 bucks I believe.

$50 actually. You can still find some 12 month +1 extra month cards in some stores but MS has switched to straight 12 month subscriptions for whatever reason. You can also pay via credit card. Silver will let you download demo's as well but Gold access will get access to some demo's, video's, addons ect... sooner then silver. Gold is required for all online gaming, no two ways around it. Pay to play is the name on Live.

With Xbox, if your not online however, your missing out 50% of the experience. Of course, then you gotta deal with all the cussing, slang, racial and sexist remarks that goes with online voice chat. And believe me, there are some VERY weird and vocal people on Live. I've heard 10 year olds cuss like sailors in Halo 3 and i've actually heard what sounded like orgys or sex in the background on other games, not including webcam games which i've seen some VERY disturbing stuff.

You can report people that do bad stuff, but they rarely get punished and when your dealing with millions of people, its all the more harder to control and keep clean. Like everything else, pluses and minuses

Use this to create and sign in for a silver/gold profile.
