just to let you know what I got in my g2r is a feigao 10L and hacker comp with hitec 5645 servo locked trans in second gear, you can substitute 10L waderer and 9920 for the combo I got since the hacker comp is unavvailable

squeeforever 03.21.2006 09:12 PM

sounds good. i think the 9920 would be ok although im not sure.

pcnutz 03.21.2006 09:13 PM

when it rips out your drive train you can sell it to me 1/2 price LOL

tallyram 03.21.2006 09:17 PM

is it really going to kill my drivetrain?

Sylvester 03.21.2006 09:25 PM

Dont worry, it should last for a while if you dont go too hard on it.

tallyram 03.21.2006 09:32 PM

easy isn't an option. i'll be racing lightnings and hellfires, so i need to know for sure. if i use cvd's, al. diff cups, al. diff housings, gmaxx tranny with steel idler, what else will strengthen drivetrain?

Sylvester 03.21.2006 10:22 PM

That should be strong enough to withstand what your running. It should withstand a even a bit more than what your runnning with all that! And IMO, you can stick with the stock drive shafts . they should hold up fine to the power. They are quite beefy.

tallyram 03.21.2006 10:33 PM

thanks sylvester, this is my first "custom maxx type" vehicle so i'm relying on other peoples knowledge to guide me. i completely trust this forum!

tallyram 03.21.2006 11:09 PM

done! finally ordered 1950/8 motor, 12020 esc, and 6v ubec. thanks for all the help, i'm sure i'll have a few more questions for the "brushless experts" on this forum. can't wait to get the chassis and all the other things required for this build. should be a week or two!!!!!!:004:

I would make sure you havea good slipper and not have it overly tight. The diffs are your weak link in the truck. YOu running lipo so that will cut back on weight and help with driveline problems. I run the 1950 8t hi amp version. It is more than the xl cans i ran. A strobe slipper is great if you don't have one. Since you will be racing I would assume you running not a big tire. I recommend starting with 15 51 geearing for it.

tallyram 03.22.2006 08:07 AM

thanks for the gearing info coolhand. yes i will be ordering a strobe slipper with my next order, and will need help adjusting it properly. as far as diffs go, i will get al. cups and cases. is there anything else i can upgrade in the diffs?
