I ended up getting one... I've been debating about whether to convert my nitro Savage XL into brushless to join my RC8Te; and well going 5th scale with my RC8Te is a bit more than I want to pay for to get custom chassis done so it's on hold til I get better machining skills myself and can do it. So I'm anxious to see what the kit is like.

RC Universe has a post by a guy who put Jammin' X2 arms on his Savage, looks from the pictures like they match up pretty well. Thinking about looking into this myself. Downside is that you are stuck with a 17mm hub unless you get a custom one made (same issue with the RC8Te I have) where as with Savage you can get Pro-lines 23mm hub and with a bit of shimming it works.

Well, I have them; will post a few pix tonight. They are beef and well made, however I am not that thrilled with them. They basically stretched the front of the chassis so the gearbox/motor/esc is all the way in the back.

While I knew this going in, it would have been nice to have an front mount option for the battery trays rather than just a mid/rear options.

I would have prefered they have stretched the front only 2/3rds the amount needed and then stretched the rear a 1/3rd. Granted this would have meant supplying two dogbones, but I think that would have been ok.

Anyways, will use it for now, but am going to need to do some custom TVPs to do a center diff mod so that the diff/motor is a bit more centered but leaving enough room to put the batteries inside the TVPs at the front.

So you will like my stretched setup. I will use an xl rear center dogbone and have a custom rc alloys front bone. I will post some pics of them, but basically it gives what you want, a center/rear tranny mount, and enough room up front to mount the packs.

It's 12" in length!

Oh great, thanks... make me like jealous. :P But yes, my idea was to use an XL rear center dogbone as the starting point.

So how much for a set of TVPs? ;)

Thinking about using a 1518 or 1520 for the 5T and running 6S with an MMM until the Ice comes out with car software.

Any thoughts?
