Hmm, maybe there is an issue with radio calibration or something in georgec's setup. I didn't doubt his findings based on my experience with the older EZRun 80.

I'm running mine sensored and it's smooth as can be . I got the programming card, and had to turn my brakes up to 75% , but they seem to have good modulation before locking up with a 2wd.

I didn't test it on carpet either! whether or not that would make any difference I'm not sure. Most of the tracks I run at are brick hard with marbles on top. As for the "lurch" it wasn't huge just irritating. I'm sure my old trigger finger isn't as nimble as it once was and that is where I found the MMM breaking to be more forgiving.

Maybe your neutral range is too wide, so it starts off with higher power giving you the lurching you speak of? As far as the brake goes, I have no idea. Maybe make sure your reverse EPA is set right (100%) and recalibrate?

I do not own any of the larger 8th scale systems right now, but I do own several 10th and 18th scale systems from Castle and EZrun. I prefer EZRun in almost every car I own for its smoothness and driveability. Its too bad to hear that this one did not perform as well as expected. I hope this is just a bad case and not the norm.

I'll agree those EZrun 60 amps have replaced almost all of the 1/10 scale short coarse truck systems at my local tracks.

I run 75% brake on my XERuns. I believe i have a higher setting on the punch too, I'll have to check. Ultimately I would say I am satisfied with the system. If there are some faults to it I would say that I probably don't notice them that greatly since I have learned it's characteristics and just adjusted myself to it, rather than the other way around.

Like Brian said calibration of your radio to the ESC could play some factor there as well.

I'm on the 150a with my RX8 motor on my truggy. I did not see any cogging nor did the braking effect affect me.

georgec 03.05.2010 05:37 PM

I would imagine the Xerun coupled with one of the Tekin sensored motor would work quite well.

Well hello notatoy. For just a season opener it turned out to be quite a race! There were almost 100 entries in all classes combined, 3 heats sct, 3 heats nitro truggy, 2 heats nitro buggy, 1 heat 1/8 E buggy, 1 heat 1/8 E truggy. It was the first time there were enough E truggys to have a separate class and since my bud Mike runs a truggy I didn't get to race against his sorry a$$ LOL !!! But I did manage to turn better over all lap times...so he bought the brews  that was nice for a change! As for the opinions of those on the Traxxass thread....not so much  I don't place much value on the opinions of those that don't race, there experiences bashing have nothing to do with racing, therefore irrelevant...to me

I dunno about "user error" I had a MMM let go a month ago on a 2s Lipo set up with a Medusa 3000kv motor, max amp draw by a Wattsmeter was 72 Amps

Now have an el cheapo Venom 120 Amp (Speed Passion) in there and it's good as gold.

1 MMM, I could tolerate, 2, maybe. I went through 6 of them before I chucked it in.

MM and MM Pro are fine though :)

The MMM and I will soon have to have a restraining order against each other I think.
