Just did the calculation...

Acceleration is 3.2G average over the whole course. Too bad it doesn't show mid speed -- it would be interesting to see acceleration for the first 1/2 of the track.

Note that Top Fuel dragsters average about the same acceleration (and the world record run was at approx 3.4G.) Top fuelers are considered the fastest accelerating manned vehicles in the world...

How cool is it that an electric scale model performs almost exactly on par with fuel powered full-scale?

Wow.. Being that I dragrace 1:1 cars, thats awesome to know. Now only if we could strap someone to it lol.

That's too cool! Just based on visual observation, my car seems to pull harder in the earlier stages and the seems to top out a little before the finish line. Too bad nobody includes a mid track mph sensor with the timing systems available these days to record the speed. I for one would love to know how the acceleration is over the course of the run.

That is really freaking cool when put into that light! So it's true scale all the way across.

:sarcastic: LOL Just kidding bro, I have enough tire left to make one maybe 2 runs on Sat. hope to better 1.39. Was looking around to to get my 2" rims ready to glue foam but cant find one rim so i guess I am just going to make 2 sets of 2" for now.

SunnyHouTX 06.21.2010 08:29 PM

Nah, not a reply to your post man. John just uploaded that to YT and I just linked it here.

Besides, when you clear 1.39, I should be in the 1.2s :na:.....

PS: I should have enough 2" wheels for both of us.

David M 06.21.2010 08:36 PM

LOL,Whatever!!!! I wasnt going to take the car on Sat. I was just going to bracket race but I might just take it to make a hit or 2.lol

SunnyHouTX 06.21.2010 08:37 PM

You should. Go after the numbers man.

David M 06.21.2010 08:40 PM

I think I will, I left to much on the table last week was getting worried about the track going away with all the heat but it never did, so I still had some left in the bag.

Another personal best (left lane) using the MMM:

Snellemin, whaddaya think of this:

http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/h...40218Small.jpg

Put the car on a extreme diet to shed any and all unnecessary weight and the case, fan and heat sink had to go. Now the car is barely over the class minimum of 40z (40.6 oz to be exact). Now it's a matter of optimizing the weight distribution.

Don't get to race as much anymore, so it's a slow trek to 1.2xx ETs.

snellemin 10.11.2010 12:10 PM

That is one serious diet Sunny. Looked like the car hooked up really well.

Bondonutz 10.11.2010 05:59 PM

Yeah, No shiz a serious diet ! Most naked MMM I ever seen.
Glad your doing well.
Video !
