I'd love to see inside and build pics when you tear down and rebuild your gasser.

You may as well lean it and lean it and lean it till she blows since you are going to rebuild it anyway!

Gee 02.02.2011 10:38 AM

I just got done with the rebuild. I was planning on taking pictures as I went along but didn't get too many before the batteries died. Found two more for the camera but forgot it was on and well they died too. I will post up what I did get though.

you didn't blow the old one first? man, that would have been a riot:yes:

bigsteel 02.03.2011 03:32 AM

You would know a thing or two about blowing old ones wouldn't you paralyzed? Is it tough to reach your own? Jk dude,ya know we love ya!

On a serious note gee,is the original motor a CY,ZEN, or a clone? I've read that it can come with either a CY or a clone of one?

Gee 02.25.2011 02:22 PM

It is sooooo big!

Sorry Bigsteel didn't see the question. It is a clone of the CY engine. If I remember right it is a HY. I don't have the motor anymore to verify the HY though.

Had the differential out to replace a drive cup and thought I would post of pic of the 1/5th differential next to a Kyosho STRR 1/8th differential I had laying around.

Kyosho doesn't have the biggest ring gear around but cup is the same size as other 1/8th scale. You can really tell the difference when you are gently fondeling the differentials in the palm of your hand..........

That truck do make an awesome electric conversion, I love my brushless Rampage MT... I was after the same thing you were, 4WD, monster Truck look and cheap to replace parts...
