The Mugen MBX6Eco specs say it's 6 lbs.CC recommends 6.5 lbs maximum.

you should be fine then. it should run pretty good actually. i was expecting a lot out of the 1410 motor, considering it is based off the neu design and not only has it met my expectations, it has surprisingly exceeded them. this motor is about equivalent to a medusa 60mm motor as far as power handling. i would be shocked if you could even get that motor over 150F in that buggy, and that's without the blower.

But it is a great motor, and my point here is that I data logged mine, in a Pede 4x4, geared 11/54, with Trencher tires on 3s. Ran 54 mph, and pulled 116.8 amps. Had lot's of bursts in the 100 range. No temp issues, still. |
I will agree that I don't think it's quite on par with a 36-60 Medusa but I think it does surpass a 36-50. There's no way I would try pushing a e-revo/maxx with just one of these. The motor is very impressive though. I think instead of the blower though they should include a fan that can snap onto the esc, the blower is a waste with this motor
|
hmmm...alright, well, i might have been exaggerating just a little. the 60mm medusa i had was not in exactly the best shape and it has comparable temps in the same setup geared for the same speed at a similar max rpm. the bearings were getting pretty rough too in the medusa.
i do think these would do alright in a maxx or revo geared for ~30mph. once i get my revo fixed, i will try it out and might finally have a reason to use the blower.:lol: |
I run mine in my losi scte...geared 16/40....2s 65c 5600mah proteks...back to back runs without any rest (except to swap out lipos) will get this motor up too 200F...(on a 1/10th scale track pretty decent size)..it's a good thing the windings and magnets can take temps waaaaay above 200F... ;)

I am curious about that setup in the new Losi SCTe. We haven't received one to test with yet, and it is a bit heavier than the other 4x4 short course trucks. With that gearing on a single battery run, what kind of temps are you seeing on the motor? And are you using the Sidewinder SCT ESC or a Max Pro? Thanks! On the fence...
I am shooting for 100+ with a converted Super Nitro RS4. Currently I am running a MM on 4s with a Medusa 36/60. It is geared at 44/20. I love the Medusa but I am wondering is it time to retire it for a smaller higher Kv motor for bullet runs. The car with the battery and body is 4.69lbs. My only issue is the 1410 is smaller in diameter to the Medusa. It also seems like this should be the perfect replacement for the MM7700 in my TA-04R as it weighs a mere 3.14 lbs. I am shooting for 100+ with it also. Let me know what you all think.

The 1410 isn't smaller in diameter than the Medusa, at least not by a noticable amount

@Thomas...
After one run (about 14min) the motor goes from a resting 68f to 160f without a shroud...with the shroud, the motor is cool (135f) in the center but the temp from the endbell still reads around 160.... I run this in an indoor clay track (http://www.capitalrc.com/) ...I'm not sure how much this truck weighs since I don't have a scale but it def is heavier than the slash 4x4... Complete setup is as follows: 16/40 gearing 5/7/3 diffs Aka wish bones mounted on stock scte wheels MMP (no timing or punch control...throttle curve is pulled up 2-3 squares from the middle to the upper left corner (forgot what this shape was called lol) 2s 65C 5600mah protek lipos Dx3s sr3100t I'm no hack so i don't spend a lot of time on my lid or hitting the pipes but I do run pretty aggressively...Btw, Thomas, I though I read somewhere that the windings could withstand 180c and the magnets 250c...??? |
Would this motor handle say an RC8 (got enough spares to make one) dressed up as a Corr truck on 2s (SC8 Bumpers, Shock Towers and Body Posts, SC10 Body) and geared for 30mph?
Not sure what sort of weight that'd be (RC8 is in bits) but I wouldn't imagine it being much more than a Hyper 10SC? |

Just the car without Lipos is about the same weight as my Hyper 10SC Hope to get the test done next weekend I have the 1415 can and this thing is way to much in my 4WD SC10 ... maybe the 1410 is the way to go will see |
Well my RC8 weighs in at 3.3kg without batteries, mind you that's set up with a MMP and Neu 1515 1Y
The 4wd Corr thing will be a spare parts build, will prob need to buy shock towers, a few gaskets and shocks themselves, plus a shell and Motor. (have a bunky Venom ESC (Xerun 120A V1) which looks like hell but it just won't die! |
