It's in the transitter modules i think,the antenna that runs to the little stubby ariel on the side of the Tx.it says 'how to check your transmitter module'.I think it's just for those with the modules and not a worry for DX3 owners.I think i'm going to get one,a DX3 with the extra free reciever.Have you guys that have them noticed any improvement in radio range or less glitching than with FM?The overhead power lines at my house seem to cause interference on 27MHz.

Well, when my spektrum was with my 14 cell setup a.k.a when it worked, i had glitch free runnning, even if i was over power lines, i couldnt see the truck for a moment of running, thats how far the dx3 can take you, it also has lots of useful features!

Yeah I cant explain why.!! the Spektrum does have that boot up delay when it finds a channel, though maybe all this is too much for the BK all at once.
Its seems to like being on first..............

yeah they do that if their underground too, we have a 27MHz blackspot on our track because the power cables for a nearby sports centre run underneath the field....not ideal, but it does prompt everyone to go 40 which can only be good.....anyone who runs a £££ truck on 27MHz in the UK needs their head testing...IMO.

Oh go on man ,tell us,i had a 36120 go smoke recently by connecting it to the programming cable.I need to send it to BK to find out what went wrong,i hope i didn't connect the 4 AAs to the cable reverse polarity.Is it more embarrassing than that?

Lol, well, I suppose. Usually, you lose speed on turns so hitting a tree won't be as bad (hopefully). At the very least, turning on failsafe will be less likely to hit or get hit by something bigger and more destructive... like a car! :)

And to an earlier post: you can plug the battery into any connector, including AUX. The only advantage to using the dedicated BATT connector for the power is that it leaves the AUX channel free for an AUX servo connector. The battery and ground contacts are all in direct parallel inside the receiver - only the signal wires are seperate. Some people add a capacitor on the power connections of the AUX channel to help smooth out the UBEC voltage and it also adds a little amperage boost for short durations. This helps the servos to respond a bit faster and is easier on the UBEC. Just like our BL motors (or brushed motors for that matter), the most current is pulled at the beginning; A servo acts the same way.

You could use a capacitor like that for the receiver. All it would do is act like a buffer to whatever BEC you are using. If you're using a UBEC, it shouldn't be necessary and probably wouldn't help (much).
