Sadly, still the original. Im hoping with the metal battery tray and servo mount it will stiffen the truck up some.. Not really looking to spend the cash on a hd chassis..

devious1 01.23.2012 09:31 PM

from the looks of it i would think it would, or at least help a bit.
I'm not to familiar with these chassis's so i cant say for sure,
but then again depends on how and where you drive it...

d3lap 01.23.2012 09:38 PM

Yea, well the most air it gets (or will) is from my made ramps, so it should take a beating hopefully. If not then I will buy a new chassis, or maybe make one?

devious1 01.23.2012 10:37 PM

I would love to see someone make one in 4-5mm-ish carbon fiber.

Considering i am going to need a new chassis eventually anyhow.
I would throw money towards one...

d3lap 01.23.2012 10:54 PM

I would just re create the stock one in CF Its generally pretty flat so it would work alright. I think it would be awesome!, expensive tho. And skid plates would have to be made, no chance im leaving carbon fibre bare.

devious1 01.23.2012 11:00 PM

carbon fiber chassis, titanium skids.:gasp:
makes me wish i knew how to fiberglass or form carbon fiber...

That could make one hell of a chassis...

d3lap 01.23.2012 11:42 PM

yea i know! trouble it its supper expensive, and i dont have the means or skill to make a carbon fibre chassis. Not sure i could trust myself either haha thats quiet a bit of money to spend on a sheet of fabric.

devious1 01.24.2012 12:34 AM

I wonder if there is any where i can send a chassis to to have one made,
Time to Yahoo.

d3lap 01.24.2012 11:46 AM

Im sure you could, but the price would be in the hundreds..
carbon fibrre 5mm thick with the dimensions needed for the truck would be ell over 100-150$
machining of the chassis would cost quite a bit as well.

The Innovative-RC chassis is 4mm aluminum, very stout.

d3lap 01.24.2012 05:14 PM

If the stock one goes, ill replace it

d3lap 01.26.2012 05:20 PM

Well ran it today, put about 11 minutes on the lipo, it was in storage mode and didnt not have all the power. Conditions were soggy and cold, -4 but it was wet outside, slide around a lot but the taped badlands did well, they didnt balloon at all! Here are some pictures, deciding whether or not i should post the video of the run..
