Never mind -- I see he posted on MSUK.

Unfortunately I can't log in on MSUK -- keep making usernames, and it will never accept my passwords or let me log in.

It totally says creations on the white wire. I like this pic the best though. A good old "Motor repalar lit" to fix it

I know Patrick is going to hate this but I hope their rebuild kits fit my 1518, 1520 and 1717. What other choice do I have if I want to keep my motors going??? I am sure they wouldn't be as good as the original (magnet strength and balancing are my main concerns) but since Castle doesn't make repair kits for them then my options are limited. I don't want to support a company that is ripping off Castle but I don't want to bin my Castle motors neither. I must have got a bit of sand in one of my 1518 motors and the rotor wrappings are in pretty poor state. I don't want to run it like this in fear of totally destroying the motor. Maybe a Sirus kit will get it humming again....... Sorry Patrick.

jayjay283 06.09.2012 04:19 AM

I hear you big block, get a "Motor repalar lit", that should fix it

reminds me of when I bought a set of hex wrenches from Harbor Freight, and got angry when the $2 set of crap stripped my hex nuts. You can blame it on the cheap tested hex nuts or the cheap off .005mm crap you purchased. Someones always to blame, I picked my wife

I've shot Nick a PM on MSUK and hopefully he'll look into it, would be nice to have both sides of the story over at that forum.. :rules:

I get the feeling Nick is a sell out punk, so much for the diamond jubilee

Nick 06.09.2012 11:05 AM

I am not a sell out punk, actually - and not even got involved with this argument. I took my post down as I feel Sirius should be treated as their OWN motor company and not some fake. The connections are questionable, yes, I do not agree with the use or promotion of the Castle brand - hence why I don't.

These motors are excellent quality, try for yourself.

I simply distribute them in the UK.

Patrick - I would be more than happy to talk to you directly, please e-mail me (info@promptrc.com) as I feel together we can work out relations a little better with Sirius and how they use Castles name/design. I don't want any complications or heart break.

Arct1k 06.09.2012 11:33 AM

For anyone to argue that they aren't clones to be honest is ridiculous.

Everything aspect of the motor from the size format to the endbell and fins is an identical clone of Castle. They even used Castle wires!

You can say you didn’t get involved in the other forum’s post as you are just a distributer but by NOT getting involved you were happy to let everyone think they were buying Castle motors. To me this is deceptive a business practice.

Let’s face it you’re just trying to make a few quid selling cheap “cloned” motors in the UK. For many these clones will probably work out ok and you’ll make some money. You’re probably thinking “hell if I don’t do it someone will” – you’re probably right but that doesn’t give you any integrity for selling blatant fakes.

I agree (it would be moronic for me to disagree, lol) that these look identical to Castle motors.

I don't know the history between Sirius and Castle, if there is any it just seems odd they use Castle wiring, you wouldn't go to the effort of using their wire, on a motor that isn't branded as as Castle in the first place.

I'm working with Kevin at Sirius and Patrick at Castle to resolve this.

Unlike the majority of Chinese companies out there, I care and so does Kevin,

I don't think the aggression is necessary and have always worked strongly with communities.

jayjay283 06.09.2012 12:31 PM

I can understand your public affirmation. I would do it to. I've been the middle man in a bad deal before. Would you rather be a pawn in heaven or the king of hell. A question every salesman has to ask himself. Integrity goes a long way in life and even when you are gone and remembered. You know what im saying

You do know that using wire and motor logos that say "castle creations" or "castle" on them is trademark infringement. You cannot sell those in the UK, as they infringe on our copyrights, and are therefore not only clones, but are also counterfeit product.

Thank you,

Patrick
