So, on any forum I can find, I've been posting my displeasure about bitter blueberries and talking down to those who still support the bitter blueberry market. I still buy bitter blueberries though, despite the huge variety of alternate non-bitter berry choices I can get instead. This was written with tongue firmly in cheek... |

Bitter Blueberries is what made me go to the farm and see what's up. Was simple to see that the farm was too small and the demand was high for sweet berries. The farm can't get any bigger either, because of shortage organic supplies.
So I bought a Black berries instead, but stayed away from the strawberries. |

Brian you may be premature in you blueberry purchase. July is National Blueberry month in the United States and Canada where the blueberry is celebrated. A bitter blueberry is a blueberry that was picked too early.
Say no to picked to early blueberries. It's not the blueberries fault. |
I'm sorry, but you guys are really missing the point of this thread.
You need to realize that the problem is mushy grapes - I simply cringe at the thought of eating them: http://cf.sketchfu.com/i/53207.png Simply stated, I'd take a bitter blueberry any day over a mushy grape. |
The bitter blueberry's is because of the complaints the people in Iowa made to the blueberry lobby. Since then it was deemed only the bitter ones would go to Iowa while we in Texas are to get only the sweet variety.
If that makes me a fanboy then so be it. I'll be eating my sweet blueberries while you walk around with sour patch face all day. http://s3-ak.buzzfed.com/static/enha...233367-112.jpg BTW, I spent 4 hours looking for the perfect sour face picture for this post. Either way I have my Schulze controller ready with 12 inch long battery and motor leads. I know if it blows Schulze will have my back. |
I thought it was just me, I too have found blueberries to be quite bitter as of late. I really do hope a solution to this blueberry issue is found soon, oh how I long for the days when blueberries were sweet and succulent.

I leave for a couple months and it turns into a shouting match! Really the customer support issues we are running into comes down to our serious growth, + the recall on ICE-HV. We are still getting swamped -- but we are starting now finally to see some daylight. So please bear with us while we go through some growing pains. March was our worst month for CS problems and return turn-around. We are getting better as we dig ourselves out of our hole. Very sorry for the long repair times and CS wait times - -but there is light at the end of the tunnel! |
