so with http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...HPI_BUGGY_DIFF I wont have to get anything else right..!! I mean the stock shafts would fit right in and the bulks would be good to go as well..!!!! I dont see where the third shaft would go.? Does this diff have a hole on the side for that third shaft?

No, you need cvds all around with the buggy diffs. MIP and UE are just about the only ones you can use. CVD's and the gear sets are all you need though.

Hustler 07.06.2006 01:26 PM

Well, Sorry for the confusion, I meant coolhand as far as the whereabout goes.

Would I also need the center drive shafts as well..?? or the stock ones will do with the hardened diff..??

Thanx for the input guys, I will keep you guys posted occasionally as I progress.

neweuser 07.06.2006 01:38 PM

I sent you a pm, you will need centers as well. i found some stuff for you you may want to check out.

A can of worms

Alright, so I thought this was gonna be easy. Well, I guess, I was wrong. I got the hardened diff gear (Differential: C8084-1, Pinion: C8030). Also got the cvd's (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ME:L:RTQ:US:1) to go along with my hybrid bulks.

Now, a couple of problems that I ran into. First, I didnt get the bearings with the pinion (center shaft), but I can grab them from my local hobby shop tom morning. Secondly, the cvd's arent long enough to fit in the differential..!!

What did I do wrong, how do I fix?

You guys have always helped.

Thanx

And the hybrid bulks, diff etc are gonna make the truck "very" heavy. I hope I can beat the 3.3 after I am done with this thing. (7 or 8xl with 9920 is the plan for now).

squeeforever 08.18.2006 11:33 PM

It shouldn't make your truck to heavy. What diffs did you get?

I got it from the local hobby shop.

squeeforever 08.18.2006 11:52 PM

Those should be fine. They shouldn't give you any length problems.

Well, the cvd isnt long enough to go into the cup thats attached with the differential. I am not missing any part right?

Also, what else would I need beside the bearings for the center shaft. The center shaft doesnt seem to connect to center cvd very well either coz its a lil bigger then the stock one.:019:

I can post pics if that would help.

squeeforever 08.19.2006 12:03 AM

Yes. Post a picture. The center will require a different drive cup since it's a bigger output shaft. Get the LSP one intended for them and it should be right.

Looks like you might have gotten ripped on those CVD's. I don't think there 2.5 CVD's....
