Thank you and let me no!!! If you can compare it to other engine so I may know how it is.
Also would you say the head is as big as .247 head or sportwerks,or a wasp just so I no the size? It just looks small to me?
Thanks again Mike

The head is smaller tha the .247 pro head for sure. It is about the size of a regular .21 head.

Daniel Murray 07.08.2005 10:07 PM

Do you no who makes the engine for them or is it theres?

RC-Monster Mike 07.08.2005 10:10 PM

Team Infinity makes the motors, as far as I know. RDLogics distributes and sells them.

squeeforever 07.08.2005 11:47 PM

so which would be the better of the two? the tm or the tz?

Daniel Murray 07.09.2005 12:17 AM

The TZ Makes 2.3HP and the TM makes 1.6HP

I can look into the prices on those motors, but the hyper 8 port race motor doesn't have a pullstart(which you need if I am not mistaken). I have the hyper 8 port with the pullstart in stock already. The picco is a good motor as well, with gobs of torque(a buddy of mine runs it in his truggy). I will find out about the prices for you.

Mike did you run the .27 engine?
Daniel Murray

RC-Monster Mike 07.14.2005 08:47 PM

Not yet, Daniel. Sorry! I have the clutch and header/pipe installed and ready to drop in, but I haven't had a free moment to strap it in and break it in. I promise it will be done this weekend. I plan on racing all weekend, so we shall see how the motor holds up/runs. I promise to get back to you as soon as I can speak to this motors performance.

is it just me, or is the trx 2.5r impossible to keep tuned? mike, is this common? i was originally gonna replace it with something else, but the performance is great, for now anyway. also, what is the best pipe for the revo?

Daniel Murray 07.15.2005 06:08 PM

THE trx 2.5r IS A PAIN IN THE A$$ TO TUNE AND KEEP COOL:devil
THAT IS WHY MOST PEOPLE GET RID OF THEM :p

squeeforever 07.15.2005 09:14 PM

im finding that out. what is the normal operating temp? and also, what does it mean when you have to give it partial throttle to keep it running. im assuming that the idle screw need to be back out a little right? the only thing is, its fine after it warms up.

Daniel Murray 07.15.2005 09:18 PM

Temp should be 220 to 250 but most traks that I see is like 275 to 350.Turn your idle up by you controler and when it is warmed up turn it down.Nothing big I see it all the time.:L:

squeeforever 07.15.2005 10:03 PM

350?!? wouldnt that be considered over heating? traxxas says 270 is overheating.
