That thing looks so amazingly nice :004: :004: . The motor mount looks pretty familiar. i think I have seen a couple people now with that same mount. :005:

The mount works great with little (if any) flex. It works, so why re-invent the wheel? :)

How is the Sport BEC treating you?

Nice buggy conversion! Are you running a 5s2p setup with the A123 cells?

Balancing connectors, I may try to clean them up a little but there may not be much I can do there.

Yes, it's a 5S2P A123 pack. So far so good with the SportBEC, it doesn't have a definitive contour so I stuck a piece of velcro on the flattest side and affixed it to the shelf I hung off the center diff mount. Time will tell if a more secure mounting method is required. I don't have any experience with other BEC devices so this may not be anything special but the SportBEC acts as a pass through so no modification to the Mamba Max receiver connector is required.

Here's a current/voltage graph of a few speed passes I did today. I should pick up an RPM sensor so I can get an idea of speeds I'm hitting.

You're not even beginning to work those batteries :). I'll bet you are getting some pretty good runtime!

I was just fooling around outside today in between heats at the carpet track. Won't have a real track to race on for a couple months. The graph above was on dusty asphalt with Pro-Line Road Rages.

Logging Voltage and Current

JakeE,

The buggy looks good. I hope I can do as clean a conversion. How are you logging the voltage and current draw? Thanks.

Did he make that mount custom for you? I have a hyper 7 as well and I'm interested in that mount. How much does something like that cost? Thanks.

Yes, the mount was custom made by Mike. Email him (rcmonstermike A T gmail dot com) if you're interested in having one made.
