Whats that cable tied to the battery wires?

It is a very nice looking unit compared to alot of others- not sure on the colour of the motor wires though.... but thats why man invented black shrink wrap!

Yeah...it's the Sport BEC from Dimension Engineering. I can't remember who recommended it but thanks to whoever did...it was a piece of cake to install and Dimension has a lot of really cool robotics stuff (another hobby I'd like to explore someday). It's a bundle of wires under the heat shrink wrap. I run telemetry on all my cars and the wires quickly become a mess...so I zip tie and shrink wrap everything I can. It also helps keep out dirt and debris and can even help protect components in the event of a crash.

Awhile back I had some ESC wires that dangled down into the drive train...I swore that I'd never let it happen again:035:

I have to agree about the colors...but that is the way Quark shipped it. However, they included top of the line connectors...can't complain about that.

Smart move.

I thought the sport was hard cased?

I see that, yes, I was simply stating that it LOOKS and I thought it was a hard case. The ebay ones for me never did the trick. Mike's did great so far, and I bought the sport a few days ago and waiting for it's arrival as well. They shipped it first class, so it could a month before it gets here! LOL

I can see from the pic that the other side has the components sticking up/out- its just flat on one side. Looks rather good though, may have to get one when the time comes...

wallot 05.16.2007 06:01 PM

i got the ebay ones for miniquake as they are quite small ( i did not know about the dimension ones that time) well got them for $15 including postage for one
and they work and are 5/6V switchable

the ebay ones are actually hard case which is nice as well
