center diff
hi, just a quick question. what did you do to modify the center diff? just curious. i noticed with the instant power of the brushless system it onloads the front tires and then the power is gone waisted on the tires spinning in the air.
thanks |
Hi, try some heavier oil in your center diff. It will prevent the front from unloading like you describe.

diff lube
yeah i tried a lot of different weights in it. the heaviest oil i have found is the kyosho 500,000wt. it helped and im sure in a race scenario it would be a lot better. i just bash though so i went back to forward only and it wheelies more which sucks as far as trying to keep it on the ground, but i did quit splitting the front tires. thanks for the tip though

30k traxxas oil does the job for me...
|
oil
yeah that had nothing for me. like i said i used 100k oil and then 500k fluid and it didnt do much better. it is brushless on 5s though

what's your rear diff filled with?
also, maybe reduce the start-up power some how? what esc are you using? |
It sounds to me like the oil your running is too thick. The rear is getting full power and is causing your front end to lift and unload. If you thin out the oil the front wheel will stay more planted and pull the buggy through corners.
The only other options are to lighten up on the lead finger or move/add weight to the front to keep it down. |

Jammin PBS conversion!

A little update....
I recently got the jammin pbs conversion for my buggy. It feels like I've gained some more steering which is always helpful. The quality of the parts are very nice as well. |
I thought about getting this conversion kit fot my jammin. But i was'nt realy sure it would make a difference. My buggy seems to have a lot of steering with the original setup. your buggy looks great .
