Slap in the face, huh?

When did you ship them by the way? I am sure that the slow ass US postal service are taking their time as usual!

Well, the diffs are the weak link in the traxxas vehicles, all of them.

Is your revo stock? You can always buy another revo, not like there is any shortage of rollers for sale. I am going to try the lst diff upgrade on my t maxx build, we will see if they can hold up to a 20xl on 10s lipo! I also have an aftershock that I am converting, I am upgrading the diff cups in that to the nova 7075 units and using the losi TiN coated diff gears. Plus I have a spare pair of HB hardened diff internals, hope that they fit!

I have been hammering them in my twin for some time now with out any signs of wear :), Ill be dying to see how they work for you!! I am also planning to build this maxx with some serious power behind it :)

Forget to ask you Its Me, what's the diameter of the Muggy pinion gear shaft, because i've this part here at home http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...mrevov2coupler

yup man! they are 8MM

On a side note... what would be a faster set up?? new emaxx trans and a out runner or buggy center diff and what ever motor you guys tell me to put in it? I am a complete electric noob and this is my first brushless build.

Buggy centre diff and an inrunner would make for a cleaner & lighter setup, but the emaxx tranny and an inrunner would be just as nice. Outrunners per say are better suited to direct to diff conversions- they have a very low kv rating normally (you want about 2000kv or so for 4s, or 1600kv for 5/6s operation).

I have a feeling that the outrunner on the new emaxx tranny will suprise many. Having some gearing and a good slipper will really make the outrunner work well. I will try my 2826/12 in my new emaxx on 5s with lst diffs and see how it does. Gearing will be 20/38 or close and with the two speed it should haul butt. These axi outrunners are really nice, and priced very well considering the quality.

I also would love to do a direct to diff but am unsure of what out runner to use for this?

Thank you both!! ill be lerking and reading for the emaxx tranny with a out runner, only reason I was looking at out runners is because it looks cool as hell :)

I am beginning acquiring parts to do a new emaxx with your lst diff upgrade. I plan to run an axi outrunner on 5s thru a quark esc and see how it works. I will most likely wait for traxxas to release the two speed kit and see how that works. I may also do a single servo conversion, as I will need a pair of matched servos for the chassis I am buying. Already figured that out! I think the combo of the great revo slipper and some gear reduction with the tranny, plus a two speed will help the outrunner and its torque production.

Hey guys, could you tell me what's an inruner, and this direct drive innruner????? You lost me now:lol:

squeeforever 12.31.2007 07:00 PM

Inrunners are the typical motor we use. Feigao, Neu, LMT, etc. I assume you know what outrunners are since you didn't ask about em. :mdr:
